Please Help- Ultimecia’s Castle

I guesss i didnt train enough. I have a strategy guide but I dont have enough magic to use any of the strats. If only they didnt seal limit breaks and magic…………..I have a save right before you enter. Can anyone help me?

the way i got through the castle waz always summoning gf’s. get everyone in ur party to haf a good compatability rate with one gf and get them to summon them every turn. they take the damage fer u and that’s always nice. if they don’t survive, maybe u should level up summore. Hope this helps!!!!

Fight bosses in the caslte and unlock the sealed abilities.
The first one you can see is on the stairways if you enter, fight him and unlock what you think would be most usefull. I would go for magic or GF’s. You don’t need magic to beat the game. just a good tactic.
Use this guide: http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/file/final_fantasy_viii_na_b_1_2.txt to get through Ulti’s castle as last resort. That guide is the best I have ever seen so it should help you (cute and pasting the part of Ulti’s castle would be too long)
I found all the bosses with this guide and walked through the castle with relative ease.

Not train!? Well lets just say that I was level 87 when I went in. Heres what you do to get massive exp., leave the castle and go to an island west of the Galbadian continent. Its called the island closest to Hell. Put Quistis in your party. Note: This will only work if Quistis has learn Degenerator. Make sure Quistis is in yellow (HP is low) so that she can achieve limit breaks easier. Move around and a fight will start. Use Quistis’s Degenerator on the b**** and you will recieve a ton a exp.

First of all get back the command ability thingie from the first boss, then you can use Kamakazie from Cactuar if you have him. Just go around blowing up most of the bosses, untill you have most of your abilitys back. When it comes to the hard bosses, junction a good magic from Island closest to hell to ur str. Then use aura and limits in the boss battles. You can defeat anything with 200+ str and limits.

hmmm. i was only on lv 60 sumthin, and did it. took a long time tho. just refine loads of items, like elixirs and stuff. save up tons of cash during the game by passing SeeD tests.

Um…………..I think I have a small problem- my characters are only about level 40 :(……….guess Im gunna have to train alot…………..only reason I got past Adel is because I kept on trying until I got Lionheart. My friend says that you cnt use Squall in the final battle. Is this true? PLEASE NO SPOILERS THOUGH!!! Thanks alot Ill try some of these tomorrow (I got a lot of stuff to do tonight)

Well it depends……..But if u want u can get Squall in the final fight.

Well, any of the high level magic. EX: Flare, Meteor, ULTIMA. Also another thing about the Island closest to hell, there are many draw points with high level magic. Eqip no encounters and find all the magic u can.

there’s lotsa different ways to do it, i found that the easiest is to level up at the islands closest to heaven and hell, (the eastmost and westmost islands) until you’re lv. 75 or up. and in the final battle, POSSIBLE SPOILER!!! you start out with your 3 weakest members, and then ulti. kills them off until you get the three you want, then bash on her and she’ll summon her gf! it’s cool… in her final form, a quick way to beat her is to check her draw thingy every now and again until you see APOCOLYPSE, use it…. it’s the most powerful spell in the game!

Hehehe……..cool…how much damage does APOCOLYPSE do? Also how many times will I have to use Lionheart to kill each form? My friend says 5, but I dont think he knows what hes talking about LoL (hes the same one that said that you couldnt use Squall in the final battle.) And do you think I should get some more GFs?-I have Quezacotl, Shiva, Ifrit, Siren, Brothers, Diablos, Carbuncle, Leviathan, and Alexander.

other g.fs that i managed 2 get were: bahumat, odin (non equipable gf), cactaur erm, and i think that was it. i also kno how 2 get Tonberry and eden, but cudnt b arsed when i played it

Thanks Squalls HP goes from 3000 to 8000 with 100 Ultima 🙂 Takes years to get all the magic on the islands though.

Im stuck on Ultimecias final form. Uh…………..help…………I almost killed her I think because she started talking but then she used apocolypse and kill my characters (which had low HP because I was trying to get Limit Breaks.)

Alright……………………Im really confused…………………..why does everyone say that squall dies? Hes in the final FMV after the credits!!! And is it just me or does that song really suck? I like it when its in Japanese better………oh well it was Squares first try at a song and they always improve the next time (PROOF:FFX)

Don’t even try to think that Rinoa is Ultimacia because that is a bunch of BS!

The evidence IS pretty compelling though u know the whole Griever thing and it DOES flash Ultimecias face on Rinoas in the final fmv (saw it with my own 2 eyes even before I read that thingie. Btw your tip was the most helpful I had and I couldnt have beaten the game without it (100 ultimas on squalls str + Lion Heart = dead sorceress 🙂

But ask yourself this, why would Rinoa want to take over the world? Why would she fight Squall if she loved him?

Well, the game never saya how long into the future it was……..sorceresses might not age and if it was a long time she probably forgot what he looked like. Ultimecia/Rinoa would want time compression probably so she could go back in time and find him. Also remember when Squall and Rinoa promised each other they would meet at Edeas house if they got seperated…………Ultimecia conveniently "pakrs her castle right outside her house"……..makes sense to me………..

Also maybe she just went insane (just like Sephiroth) She wanted to wipe out all life-similar to what Sephiroth wanted to do.
