lol….They adopted ‘Garnet’ since the real princess had died and she looked just like her. She was married but her husband (the king) died, leaving her to rule the kingdom.

The first time I saw Garnet , I couldn’t believe Granet is daughter of Queen Brahn….My God…..Helpme……Since Brahn is so ugly , could she possibly have a gorgeous daughter like Garnet?

If I remember right they say something of it in the game.
The king was really sick and died, ’cause of that…

He died of natural causes and then Brahne became ruler of Alexandria. The Queen wasn’t evil at all, it’s just that Kuja controlled her (like Seifer with Ultimecia)

I think we should not see conspiracies in every little character or incident. It is only natural that people die, and Brahne’s husband obviosuly died…

actually if you go to the eidolon wall after doing the name trick you can actually find out what happened……princess garnet or what her real name, Sarah, is actually the daughter of another mother who died on the ship…..her father wrote on the wall that he loves her and her real mother, he never met brahne, and garnet is in no relation to brahne….. well hope that helps people understand a little….later….

he died shortly after his real doughter died, and extremly shortly after garnet was adapted. he got an illness after his doughter died, and keeped it. garnet was adapted and then he died. by the way if u didnt know garnets real mom was Brahns real doughter, and garnet was Brahns grandoughter.

Well, first, the queen IS in fact female! I know it hard to believe but its true. Second…yes me and the queen were married…and DID in fact have the first princess. but let me explain my actions:

I was on a trip to Treno for a little gambling… I played some cards and made some friends. Anyway I ended up at the bar and had some drinks, well apparently I got a little drunk…then the queen came walking through the doors. Now put yourself in my shoes, your drunk, horny, and having one hell of a good time! We get to talking and I find that we have a lot in common (the whole evil thing) So we go to the church in Alexandria (I’m still drunk) and we get hitched. We have some post marital relations and that’s how the first princess came to be. Anyway the next morning, I’m sure yo can imagine what I woke up like 😮 tell ‘ya, I was freaking out! mayor coyote ugly…except with royal guards at the door! Well, I finally busted through the wall and left. The queen had the princess, yadda yadda yadda, and then the princess killed herself because she took after her Mom and could never marry anyone.

sorry bout that false coment bout me, brahns doughter didnt die, they thought she did, but she really ran away. she lived at maidin suari (how ever u spell it) she had a baby (garnet) with iferit, and

u can find that out through a side quest.
then the invincible atttacked, the real princess died (garnets real mom), and thats how garnet had her original horn, befor they ripped it off.

Very interesting but an untrue statement remember the wall also tells the name of Garnets mom (i can’t remember it), and the real princesses name was Garnet and Garnet’s(dagger) mom’s name was not garnet.

Queen Brahne actually had a husband? I feel sorry for whoever he was! I’d like to go with the theory that she sat on him! haha!;)

I think that Brahns husband was blind when they first met. Then, when Brahne met Kuja, she asked Kuja to make it so that her husband could see, and he obeyed her. Finally, Brahne’s husband could see what she looked like. Later that day, he commited suicide.
