ultimate weapon

quick question
after chasing ultimate weapon around and battling with him 3 or four times, he has now moved above midgar. every time it try to fly the highwind into the weapon, it automatically skips to the scene where cloud and everyone parachutes off. is there any way of killing ultimate weapon off before going back to midgar?

Just do the midgar bit first…strange though…never flew over midgar for me…

I have done everything in ff7. If I kill sephiroth the game will end. Is there sth I haven’t done? For example I’ve read that you can fight again Sapphire weapon If you do some things.In two weeks I will have them. Is this about the weapon true or I am wasting my time?
