Looking back to the darkness from which you crept
And so you see the face
Of a new love to chance
And you cling to this new hope

So you plunge into despair
Starting not to care
Feeling helpless yet again
And so on it goes
While you will never even know
You are right back where you began
The words used in both poems bring vivid imagery into my head. The first one brings in bleak views, darkness, etc. This one here captures how I feel with girls most of the time.
