Hardest Boss

What was your hardest boss in Final Fantasy Tactics

I think that it was Velius…

id have to say him too i know a lot of people beat him easily but im just replaying through it and i only had 1 block of memory left so i couldt lvl up anymore so i almost got stuck there untell i just use accumlate like 15 times so ramza had 25 normal dmg power that means ill hit 999 every time and i beat him thata way but it took me a couple of days to do that lol he summons were too powerful that his only strength really

Velinus is the hardest boss in the game for your level and gear
u gotta have the right skills and stuff and may take time to lvl to prepare for him.

i thought even the last boss and deep dungeon boss were cake compared to wiegraf and velinus.

mabye cause u don’t get knight swords and orlandu?

it had to have been the hardest boss, well, Ramza was a squre there with me and he used his Calculators Math Skill with Bolt 4 to anihalate him, but when i didnt have that in my first gaem, Impossaible…

that time you fight wiegraf when you’re by yourself. man, that was hard as crap! it took me FOREVER to win that %@#%^^@ battle!

I found the last battle quite a hard one. But Velius was also a heck of a hard battle.

I didn’t think the Velius one was hard, but the wiegraf one was definitely hard. I don’t think many boss battles besides that one are hard unless you screw around during the battle and let them pull out their tricks

well anyway the first time i made ramza a chemist (gasp) and since he had auto potion and than making him a squire made it a whole lot easier, but only if the potions are X-Potion hehe just watch out for counter btw did anyone before that battle make ramza a wizard? for the first game?

the hardest fight for me was the final battle with gafgarion

Well it would have been eldibls but by the time you get to him your alredy guilded to the nine. So I would agree with others and say veilius. Of course that was only the first time….jk.

If you want to get all of the genji armor, and ultima (although you can get it earlier), Inside Limberry Castle can be one tough battle. I got lucky and stole all of the armor in 7 total steal attempts (2 misses…yeah, i know! =) and I barely offed Elmdor before my Monk and Mustadio crystallized. This was in my second game, when I knew what I was doing. IMO, that constitues as a hard battle. Wiegraf is cake if you have auto potion…but in my first game, he was the hardest battle for me.

Ya I did all that crap about 2 times…But the second time everything just went a millions times faster..I dont know why…

Also, where is the first place you can get altima from? the rooftop fight?

The ruins at the entrance to Limberry, right before the elmdor battle…although the apanda’s make it difficult when they are casting Bio 3 on you every 2 seconds.

I thought the battle with Marquis Elmdor was kinda hard, since Rafa kept walking towards the 2 assasins and they killed her in two attacks. But then I gave my characters more ‘move’ I was able to beat them.

Well, I’m only at chapter 3. This is the 3rd time I’ve had the game. The first time, I thought this game sucked, so I traded it for another game. The second time I got it, I traded it to a friend for his PSX Gameshark. But now, I intend to keep it and am actually playing it. As for hardest boss, I’m not sure, but I’ll take your guyses word for what you say. But I can’t say many things have been hard, seeing as how I beat chapter one at level 30 (no kidding..took a helluva lotta time, though x.x;; )

Final confrontation with Gafgarion. The first battle I lost IIRC.
