Felt like expereimenting again. As usual it included the good ol’ bottle of black ink in it’s purest form. Keep in mind that these are only ment as experiments and were both made in about 10+ minutes each with a brush, so don’t expect too much.

As usual with angelfire you have to copy and paste the URL. In other words, if you know of a site that offers free accounts and allows external links, let me know. Anyway, on the show.

On this picture I’ve tried a top-down view and no texture at all. Crikey!

This is my favourite of the two. Here I’ve drawn nothing but clothing, hair, boots and make-up. You are what you wear, right? :p

Comments are welcome.

Good job dude. Your pic very well resembles a Goth girl: clothing, hair, boots, and all. Then again, I’d expect nothing less from a cool guy such as yourself. Keep us proud mate.

Nice.
It’s a stark contrast, isn’t it?
I like stuff like this.
Like some kind of graphic design to be used for an advert.
Yeah, very cool.

Thanks for the comments 🙂 I might make more pictures like these in the future as they were fairly quick to do.

I’ve registered an account on the site rezo mentioned, so no more Angelfire crap.

They look nice, I’m interested in that style but I can never make it look right, so I just go and draw whole figures with the texture etc, it doesn’t feel "right" for me to not do all that, yknow ? Anyway I suck 🙂

Please tell me how you got the background so white if it’s a scan…. all my scans end up having all this texture and weird crap all over the background, I’d love to just have the drawing it self where you could color it on a computer etc, just to make figuring out color schemes for my characters easier

Wow.. I really like the first one =D It’s great how you managed to show the pose with only some lines and no shades..
And me likes the goth girl ^_^ Whee. Great job, post more if you got some =D

You making them all black and white photos?
Sometimes when it’s a colour photo it comes out with all the little faults in the paper. Otherwise, I dunno.

I scan it as a colour picture, then I just increase the contrast. That way you don’t have to worry about the ink being thick enough.

Its not as hard as it seems. If you’re having trouble doing it straight with ink, draw it in pencil, and ink the sections that you want in the image, then erase out the other parts. because ink is definite and a brush usually puts down a decent sized line, it doesn’t take that long.
