Digimon!!

Hey, I don’t see a Digimon thread, so…here it is! I think they’ll restart airing new eps of season three in Februaury…that’s this month!!

they still show all the new stuff on saturday morns? i hate that. i can’t watch anything all day saturday. and all the great new toons are on at that time. fucken sucks. whatever happend to sunday? dammit!

Hehe, not into digimon. I’ve watched some episodes from the first season, but I never got into it. It’s basically the same every episode, isn’t it? The little things digivolve into something really big and strong and kill whatever evil digimon. The thing is, I prefer anime with twists and good plot line. One of the things with digimon is that they show the same digivolving clip every episode which takes up around 5 min. It gets annoying. The dubs and corny jokes/puns are also really bad.

I was kinda into digimon season 1, but it was a little too childish for me. Season 2 was an improvement, but it still had some kiddy parts, and the digivolving screens are annoying. Season 3 however, I love season 3. I love everything about it, the plot, the characters, the digimon (renamon specifically). Everything about it is so much better.

Season 1 started off slow, but it actually had some really good characterisation and a better story for the latter half. Season 2 was bollocks, to be honest, aside from the whole Ken thing, cos Ken was actually really cool, and about the only well developed character in the season. Although 02’s CONSTANTLY changing plot just …. ruined it. it sucked. =/ i’ve heard good and bad things abot 03, mainly good, but i’ll reserve judgement til i see it (ALL of it) myself.

one of the things i found REALLY annoying in digimon aside from the digivolving is how after you watch around 30 episodes religiously hoping they will defeat the super evil super powerful baddie, and they FINALLY succeed, a brand NEW baddie that is more powerful comes out. then it does it again for another 30 epidsodes you get a little hooked on, wanting them so badly to kick the baddies ass and when they FINNALY do it again, ANOTHER super more powerful baddie than the LAST one appears. this went on for like another 10 times. very gay.

Ya the storyline is real crap, but I used to watch it anyways..?

Now ive seen the new episodes and I have to take back what I said. Real cool stuff is happining. One of the kid’s fathers turned out to be an original digimon programer, and then found out that they were real…stuff like that.

Oh and the digivolving dosent take an hour like it used to…

Yay! Let’s hear it for Digimon! The first season was pretty good, the plot became different after the introductory eps (first seven or so eps) Season Two is, I will agree, very very bad. With even worse jokes. Blah. But you really have to watch Season Three. it’s like no other, and really different from the first two seasons. I’m glad they didn’t try to extend the second season like they did the first (I hated how the old kids got older!)

Anyway, does anyone know any good Digimon sites? www.lelola.com was really cool, except it doesn’t work anymore for some reason…
