What do you think is art? Do you think that "Extreme Art" is real art? e.g pornography, Hentai ect.

i beleve that art can be expressed in many ways, and that their are no boundries to it. people who see art as old paintings and flower gardens realy annoy me, Art is just a way of expressing your feelings and the way that you do it does’nt matter.

i showed my art teacher a anime picture i drew and he said that it was’nt good because all the body porportions were out of size, but if he had taken time to notice thats the style i was going for, after all it was a anime pic 😉 this just shows how shallow minded people can be.

Artists like Tracey Emin show that anything can be art… she will be remembered for her crazy tent and her bed, examples of new and alternative *art*

then there’s artist like jackson pollock… the modernist who draw lines and splatter paint and that’s considered to be amazing artwork… i know i’ve looked at it and thought… "i could do that" but when you hear them justify it as art it becomes a little more special… although i think that things like on of this years Turner Prize entries, a piece of screwed up paper, is a bit over the top… although it’s fairly humerous to hear then try and explain how it’s art…

as for pornography i guess it is art in a way, it’s photography after all, it’s no my "thing"… artier nude shots and hentai/yaoi/yuri art can be kinda carnal but can also be beautiful expression of passion and love…

art what you want it to be… some of my favourite movements are the more radical, modernists, abstractism, fauvism… but there’s always room for the conventional perception pre-raphaelite images or impressionist work…

art’s not just flowers and scenery 🙂

No I do not believe hentai or pornography is nice at all.

I guess nude is art… but hentai?:eye: That’s not art because it’s just perverted. Art is suppose to be sophisticated, and have depth. Hentai is too extreme. While it may catch people’s attention, it’s just wrong.

The aesthetic deffinition of art is that everything you do is art. Anime, sketches, pornography, hentai…
Even music and pottery is art.
Art is creation, whatever it is, even thou some don’t fit in the idealistic ethic areas, like hentai…
My conception of art is anything done in a profetional way. Amateur stuff isn’t art, cuz you don’t enjoy watching it.

art can be anything. i really don’t consider porn or hentai as "art" hentai is drawings but not art. and no, i don’t watch either of em >.<;; but art can be paintings, disproportioned people (c’mon what about the poor chibi’s?) or jes a bunch of blobs on a piece of paper. whatever an artist does to get his/her’s point across.

ok my art teacher is really cool and she is has a saying that she madse up herself its "everthying is art ….but if everything is art then nothing is art" i bet its suppose to be like everything has beauty and if everything is bueatiful then its all the same

Well, i think everything in this world have the senses of art,like nature, team football formation(it has offensive & defensive,but also has sense of art>beautifull combination;) ), Building’s structure, ppl style, and many other.So, art really influence our life.

About Hentai,………I know,.. that some girl doesn’t like to see their body being posted everywhere and always catch man’s attention.But, there is also a positive things from hentai(I think) that women’s body is a beautifull gift from Gods,because of that women has more valuable than man.BUT, everything is also from each person ,how they see the meaningfull of art.:)
