Uhm.. ofcourse one of my favs is Teknoman ^__^ and another all time fav is Neon Genesis Evangelion and I’m slowly getting into Gundam Wing 😉

dbz was 291 episodes long

and dbgt was 64 episodes long

anyways, It’s not very popular to say among "real" fans of anime, but DBZ is my favorite. The cell and buu sagas just had so many great fights.

any by the way, there never should have been an ssj4 power level, it just seemed so cheap.

1-X/1999 and X The Movie- Simply splendid. Sieg Sakurazukamori!! Why’d they kill of Seshirou, so quickly?!

2-Shin Seiki Evangelion- Very very good. Now I just need to see EoE, and I’ll be finished with my crazy Rei obsession once and for all!

3-Bubblegum Crisis(The original)- This series is one of my favs because of all the great action scenes and cute gals! ^^; Blessed be Nene, the pink-haired angel!

4-The entire UC Gundam Series- Yup, all of it! Zeta is probably my favorite though, but I doubt that will remain after seeing Char’s Counter Attack. Mmmm… Eye candy. Also I really wanna see G Gundam, although it is an AU series I hear it’s very good. The supposed ‘Dragon Ball Gundam’ if you will.

5- Mononoke Hime- Luv the animation in this sucker. I actually liked the main character more than all the others.

6- Card Captor Sakura- Sakura’s cute, and I like that stoic angelic- winged guy with the white hair.

7- Samurai Troopers Yoiden- Was my first anime. Saw it when I was a wee lad of just seven. It still touches me, deep down, inside. *Sobs*

This afternoon, I might get my hand on Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals ( on VHS, though 🙁 ) , even though I’ve heard it’s not THAT great…And I most definitely intend on getting Record of Lodoss War : Chronicles of the Heroic Knight on DVD later this summer, because it seems even better than the OAV (which means it’s going to ROCK !!! ), even though it’ll cost me a bundle : around 130 $ US , and I live in Canada , so…

However, for a box set of 4 DVDs containing 27 episodes, I think it just might be worth it 😉

Oh, BTW, Akari…Not to disappoint you , but Sailor Moon’s real name is Serena only in the English version…If I’m right, in the original version and the French version, her name is Bunny ( pronounced "Bunie" in French 😉 ) …:p I suppose they changed it in the English version because it sounded a bit…weird lol

Anyway. I completely forgot. Heh. Hoshin Engi/ Soul Hunter is my favourite at the moment. Countless bishies. Countless. Slayers… is very very funny.

Saiyuki features a nice cast of four not-too-bad looking men/demons/whatever. It???s also very funny… plus good music.

However, I wonder if I will like these animes after having read the mangas… which I will do.

Ranma tickles my sense of humor, Sailor Moon tickles my action/romance needs, and Kenshin tickles a little bit of both!!

Yes, Usagi does mean "bunny" and that is her Japanese name. Actually, Sailor Moon’s full name in Japanese means "Bunny of the Moon" I believe. Many people think I’m weird cuz Sailor Moon is one of my fav anime. But so many things draw me to it like…

…The Sailor Stars. Senshi that can turn from guys to girls was a really creative touch. Their stories are really interesting too. And who CANNOT love kyoot little Chibi-Chibi?? GOSH she is soooo adorable!!! I wish I can just jump into episodes and play with her!!!

I needed a box of tissues for the last few episodes. I mean when Uranus and Neptune were saying good-bye to each other i just starting bawling. And I cried happy tears(:)) when Usagi "saved" Galaxia! On a side note: hehe I laughed A LOT when ChibiChibi tried to pull off Seiya’s towel! 😀

It really is a great great show and I always recommend it. You’ll laugh and cry and all that good stuff! *high five* fellow fan 😀

All series, really. I can’t say i like Tenchi in Tokyo that much, but it’s still Tenchi. My favorite series would probably have to be Universe.

Battle Athletes- I dont know why. I just like it. It’s kinda corny but cute at the same time. Plus Miranda kicks ass.

No it can’t. Cinematics aren’t anime. Anime are cartoons, cinematics are video games.

You can’t beat it for depth of story, interesting character arcs, and confusing the hell out of you.

Also, a couple of movies that I really like:

Spirited Away: Interesting character driven piece in a world that is both frightening and beautiful at once. A masterpiece.

Metropolis: Maybe I only like this because I saw the premiere at the cinemas, but it caught my heart then – a tragic love story, a political thriller and a moralistic drama all in one.

Neon Genesis Evangelion (an untoppable masterpiece; the FF7 of all anime)
Fooly Coolly (another great Gainax series:D ;weird but ultimately cool)
His and Her Circumstances (Gainax again! It’s psycological, funny, and romantic.)

I have just recently purchased the Samuari X box set and I have to say that it is my new number one anime followed by Clamp’s X series.

Samuari X blew me away. I’ve been waiting to watch it for five years–DVD’s were really espensive– and my waiting has paid off. (tee-hee)

I like it alot better than the original series because it’s realism in the story and art. I love it!!

Tenshi Ni Narumon (really rare anime.. not a lot people have seen it but it’s definately the best anime ever made ^_^; atleast for my tastes!)

I’ve known about Harlock for some time,and I’m sure many others here do to. But it’s not my favorite anime series, as cool as it may be.

And the Akira movie is a great film. A fine retelling of the story fit for a 2 hour format, and certainly not a flashy violent show for DBZ fans. I was reading the comic around the time I first saw the film a long time ago, and back then I thought it wasn’t that good since so much of the comic had been changed,… but the movie is not the comic. A lot of the characters roles were changed completely as well as the basic scenario, and the new telling in the movie is very well done, albeit drastically different than the comic.

I haven’t posted yet in this topic… so… my favorite anime is…

Like Yengun said, there’s a decent amount of perverted humor on Chobits, but it’s nothing gross, and it’s not the focus of the story.

To give you a brief idea of the storyline, android like things called Persocoms have become really popular- almost everyone owns one. The main character, Hideki, finds an abandoned one on the street and takes her in, but she’s not an ordinary persocom.

It starts out pretty lighthearted and silly, but it gets a lot more serious as the story progresses. It’s probably my favorite manga of all time, and one of my favorite animes.

Plus, Chii is the cutest thing in thw whole wide world. ; ;

Yup, those are the good ones and I am a true fan of all of the above! Yay, I’m a Sailor Moon and Evangelion fan!!

Revolutionary Girl Utena was good, but the ending tied my brain in a knot. But that was nothing next to what Adolescence of Utena did to me. I couldn’t even hold a fork properly for two days after watching it. Definitely a 9.5 on the wierd-o-meter.

Some animes like Adolescence of Utena are very confusing. It took me 3-4 times of watching it to figure out the full plot. When I first saw X the movie with my boyfriend, I thought that was confusing and had to watch 3 times to fully figure it out and once I did, I really enjoyed that movie! X was one of the best anime movies I ever saw! Once I fully figured out the Adolescence of Utena movie, I loved the plot! One left I couldn’t figure out, why did Anthy and Utena wanted to go to the outside world when Anthys brother Akio simply told her there was no life there:confused: ? That was the most confusing thing I found in that movie.

Wait!!!!! I found out what that anime i couldn’t remember was, um…… i think its Starlight Railroad the main character a young boy name Jiro, he fell in love with a teenage princess (i don’t know her name) of a tyrant empire taking over his world. If anyone the real name of the anime please tell me cause i want to purchase the DVDs cause its two volumes and I WANT THEM SO BAD!!!!!!

My fav anime is Sailor Moon.To me its like great specialy the new season like SS and Stars.I have all the manga all i need is to get the box sets of seasons one and two then i need all the new dvds then i’ll be happy.^-^

fushigi yuugi is about two highschool students (miaka and yui) who got trapped inside an ancient book (with ancient China as its setting). During that time, China is divided into four kingdoms and each kingdom must have its maiden because only she could summon the kingdom’s guardian/god. Yui and Miaka became maidens of two different kingdoms and bec. of these, they became rivals. The rest, u have to see for yourself ^_^ U have to watch it because the story’s really beautiful.

Anyway, my favourite manga at the moment would be Oh, My Goddess! and Love Hina, because the manga versions deal far more into their respective storylines than the anime versions (Love Hina for instance was aborted without completing the storyline in the anime version), so I perfer the manga.

But that’s just my personal preference.

Saiyuki is about 4 men Sanzo, Hakkai, Goku and Gojyo going west to find out why all the youkai (demons) have become effected by a strange power and are violent. Except for Sanzo, they all have Youkai blood themselves so it seems that they are not effected by this wave because of devices they wear.
It’s a really cool series.

There’s also one about the journeys before the manga and the group that Goku travelled with before. Hope that helped. I prefer the manga, because they mess up the colouring of Sanzo’s hair and I’m a rabid fan of the manga!

I am however, getting sick and tired of how the Cartoon Network keeps on skipping episodes of Teen Titans during their airings of Miguzi.

Death Note, maybe? Definitely unique, and very creative.
