I’ve always been a fan of this film, and of its director Charles B. Pierce (June 16 1938 – March 5 2010), and, most of all, of the composer Jaime Mendoza-Nava (December 31 1935 – May 31 2005). There’s absolutely nothing about him on the market. I only found a vinyl once on ebay, but it was on OST of a film I’ve never even heard of.

Back to the film, I always regarded the 2013 US Blu-ray from Shout Factory as my Holy Grail. Then a couple of months ago I learned that it also release in several other territories. But I never bothered to check it. Once I stumbled across a website that makes screen comparions of various releases of the same film, I was surprised to see that they made for this film. They compared the 2013 release with the 2015 UK release by Eureka, and this one had a better image quality, but sharing the same ground regarding restoration, color scheme. But still had a healthier bitrate and better grain and no DNR apparently. So I got myself one. And, to my great surprise, there it was on the main menu, the beloved option "Play film with isolated music and effects track". I almost fell from the couch! I couldn’t believe I could experience one of my favorite film with a clean version of the music in glourious uncompressed PCM sound. But then came the sad news: the music is there alright, but it’s HEAVY with sound effects for most of the part. Nonetheless, I’m happy to get a cleaner version of the music. So I decided to share it with you.

Again: this is an isolated music and effects track, so many cues are repeated and it’s heavy in SFX. And in mono sound too. Nothing that can be done to minimize it.\_(ツ)_/

I did my best to cut the excessive non-music parts without affecting the "smoothness", so some jump cuts will be noticeable. Also I’m not very good at giving names to tracks. Enjoy!

Awesome! I have a terrible audio rip version that must have come form a VHS tape, so this is a major upgrade.

Thank you so much for the great share, phbart!
