07 Ghost Original Soundtrack ~ Melody of Michael (3CD, Kotaro Nakagawa, 2009)

Or, should I say, "Kotaro Nakagawa pretending to be Yuki Kajiura". He composes in her style quite nicely, actually, without the ethnic bombast of Kajiura but maintaining the "technoclassical" style, much like the way Hikaru Nanase did for "Requiem for the Phantom". There are a lot of trombone, organ and violin solos in here, compensating for what was apparently a small budget. You may also have BlazBlue flashbacks as there are many similarities between this OST and BlazBlue’s music.

I am not in the mood to post COLOSSAL TRACKLIST OF HELL but there are 3 CDs in here crammed with music, virtually every track from the first season made it in (there will be a second season in spring 2010). Extras include a TV Size Version of the OP, two TV Size Versions of the ED, an insert song, and a Japanese-language Mini Drama titled "Escape", all of which is present on the third disc. The first two CDs are BGM only, the 3rd CD contains BGM alongside the afore-mentioned extras.

I did translate the track titles into English using my mediocre knowledge of kanji, using help from a tracklist online when I was flummoxed (which was more often than I wanted . . .) As it was amateur, if I messed up on any of the titles someone who knows how to translate Japanese can correct me.

Incidentally, this will be my final upload onto ffshrine forums. I had planned it to be Shangri-La OST 2 but I was beaten with that one, so I will settle for this one.

This be my only bump before I let it fall.

I love his Code Geass compositions, thanks for that notspecial.

Now since it’s a huge one, I’ll have to try it a bit later. Nakagawa very rarely disappoints, so my expectations are high. 🙂

A note about the tags, if you add this to your media player of choice and it lists disc 3 before disc 2, go into your favorite tagging program and make sure each disc has proper disc tags. Disc 1 is tagged as 1 of 3, disc 2 is tagged as 2 of 3, but disc 3 is tagged as 1. Also I included the play-asia album art.
Further, this upload has a 5% recovery record so if you run into an error, right click on the files and hit repair. This might fix any problems with corrupted files.
