From the mid-1980s to the early 1990s, Israel-born producers Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus produced a string of mostly
dreadful motion pictures under the banner "Cannon Group". The scores for these films were written by well-known composers;
suites from some of them were compiled by Edel Records in the mid-1990s.
The present collection features a beautiful score by Dutch composer Jurriaan Andriessen.
