It's amazing how easy it is to enjoy the synthesized parts almost as much as the orchestral parts. Definitely THE hands-down must-buy of the year. The 22 page booklet that comes with it is also very informative. If I had a scanner I'd scan and post it here for you guys.

I figure fans of Richard Bellis would be reading this, so... Anyone know if his score to "Double, Double, Toil and Trouble" is available? Its one of those Olsen twin movies, but the score is amazing.

There was a suite included on Bellis' agency promo but other than that I don't think it exists in any other form. Sorry , man.

If you appreciated this, just for once, I urge you to buy this soundtrack. Because it has been awaited for more than 20 years. because it is nearly the only Richard Bellis Score available on CD out there. And of course, because the CD sounds better than the mp3, and you'll have the booklet, which, it seems, is gorgeous.

As Codyap9 said, if you must buy only one soundtrack this fall/winter, go for this one.

It's amazing how easy it is to enjoy the synthesized parts almost as much as the orchestral parts. Definitely THE hands-down must-buy of the year. The 22 page booklet that comes with it is also very informative. If I had a scanner I'd scan and post it here for you guys.

I listened to some of this and I wasn't grabbed by enough of it to make it to the end. There is too much wacky synth that I just can't enjoy. The re-recording of Fall of the Roman Empire is far more must-buy this year than anything else.

Well, I just received the CD and its booklet is indeed fabulous. Will scan it this afternoon. As for the must buy, it's a question of tastes I guess. I'm really into horror scores, and on top of that, I've always loved the TVfilm...

That's IT ^_^

Isn't it wild how I remember the day that post was made (the good ol' days I call it) and tracking it down for years. I reached Richard Bellis and during those years he says unfortunately all that was available was his suite which I already had so I expected the worst. Then out of the blue, I got a message from Richard Bellis alerting us of the album release and upon realizing that it was going to be a 2CD affair from a (then unknown) legit record label. I waited for months on a follow-up announcement and then lo and behold, it showed up on Intrada's website and I snatched it right up. The coolest part about the whole thing is that Richard Bellis included a special bonus track to the fans whom had pre-ordered it, it was an outtake track recorded for the part where Bill is looking at Georgie's picture after the funeral but unfortunately I no longer have that bonus track as it was lost in a hard drive crash. :( It wasn't a "must have" track but it was cool to get a glimpse into the recording session process for this score. Unfortunately, it was a very brief glimpse. This score is unusually good for such a disappointing film. The synth parts do border on cheesy often but it's the main title themes along with what I consider the "Derry theme" on horns and strings that leave the greatest impression on the listener. The theme for IT is original and while cheesy after awhile is very effective and may even freak you out a bit. Part 1's score is overall very enjoyable to listen to while Part 2 changes gears a bit and may require more dedication to plow through but trust me, it's worth it in the end. It all wraps up very nicely and is another case of the score transcending the film, a sad case that unfortunately rings through even today.
