Thought Streitenfeld did a fairly decent job with this. Hope he steps up to the task with Prometheus, considering how great Goldsmith's score for Alien was. Thanks for the share.

I watched the film yesterday, which was entertaining (if overlong) and certainly looked good. It's a Ridley Scott movie after all.

The music score by Streitenfeld, however, was terrible. There are a few promising, poignant (mostly folk-sy) cues in the calmer moments, but the action-suspense music was offensively bad: di-da-di-da-di-di-da-di-da... endlessly, the same primitive patterns repeated ad infinitum, without rhyme or reason. This is kindergarden orchestral music for kindergarden customers, and a sad reminder of what the film music Goldsmith wrote for Scott sounded like.
