Music performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra

(6 Academy Awards Nominations)

Maybe not a "complete score" actually as I've just been said, but the 74mn OST (I suspect it to be complete however - see discussion below). Anyway it presents complete suites uncut as written for the film as far as I know:

The 33 track promo is all cut. But maybe some will prefer that listening experience ?
I'm just giving it a shot myself and it looks to sound with a bit more noise compared than the above OST, but very few. We can say it's missing the great subtle treatment for the OST production sonically speaking.

Should be real lossless, I haven't checked at the spectrals.

Tracks:

01. Long, Long Time Ago (2:14)
02. The Labyrinth I (0:37)
03. The Labyrinth II (1:25)
04. The Labyrinth III (0:44)
05. Rose, Dragon I (0:28)
06. Rose, Dragon II (1:02)
07. Rose, Dragon III (1:57)
08. The Fairy And The Labyrinth (3:01)
09. The Moribund Tree And The Toad I (1:56)
10. The Moribund Tree And The Toad II (0:47)
11. The Moribund Tree And The Toad III (2:21)
12. Guerrilleros I (0:36)
13. Guerrilleros II (0:50)
14. A Book Of Blood I (2:27)
15. A Book Of Blood II (1:23)
16. Mercedes Lullaby (1:39)
17. The Hourglass (1:34)

Really ? I thought there were 2 releases, one shorter and one having all the score written for the movie... Do you know more? I'm correcting the OP anyway but I can't change the thread title unfortunately.

Edit: maybe the other one I'm thinking about was another promo after all.

Yep, deep, tough and poetic. A little too figurative ending I think for an oniric tale, but let's say that's a detail. Love it too. What I love with the score is that the music easily stands on its own as an orchestral piece, whatever you know the film or not. A beauty.

Here is a cover someone posted for the real complete score. It has not leaked yet.

I could swear i checked the film with the OST and the ost contained more music than the film. In the film there was also some tracking (repeated cues)

So, i think the OST is complete. There could be more unused cues, of course, but as 'complete' scores go, pan's labyrinth got a perfect OST.

I'd have to go through and recheck it but I'm pretty sure there are at least 4 or 5 cues missing. I do agree that it does have one of the most perfect album releases I've ever heard but as usual I'm a completist so the album just wasn't cutting it for me especially after my last rewatching of the film. I'd love to hear the film edit of the opening lullaby.

I can change the thread title. What name do you want it to call?

Oh, I didn't know about it. Thanks. Looks like we're only missing 5 or 6 min, maybe some short cues. What seems weird is that this complete version is all cut, as is the promo. Also I wouldn't break this score on two CD's just for so few, but interesting to know. Thanks.

That should be easy to do for yourself, if nothing is missing.

... Why my blue font has turned green ? Too weird.

Thanks Sanico. I think replacing "complete" with "ost" should work. ;)

Wow... And now it's blue again. lol. My code says blue all the long.

... Ok. Taking a closer look at the OST + the promo, and the tracks timings on the complete score cover codyap09 has posted, assuming this is the only clue we may have for a so called 'complete score' I am more and more suspecting this is only the promo+OST recut (as we can notice a bunch of blanks on the OST... Another clue may be the complete cue sheets - from pianofiles or such sites).
My guess goes then for all the cue separated, including around two bonus tracks at the end, maybe three, wich would be different alternate edits either from the promo or the ost, or even film version edits. I'm sure it's nothing and I suspect again the ost to be 'complete'.

Also, having checked further the site this cover comes from, I wouldn't take it serious ... I mean.. Who says I'm not going to post a 60 cue tracklist and you to believe it's "real" in the future?

... By the way, the lossless promo sounds great having checked further. Only some little more noise than the ost but almost nothing. It's good material.

The album is NOT the complete score. Please don't label it as such.

"The score for Pan's Labyrinth, created by Spanish composer Javier Navarrete, was released on 19 December 2006. Navarrete and the score were nominated for an Academy Award. It was entirely structured around a lullaby, and del Toro had the entire score included on the soundtrack, even though much of it had been cut during production. The art used for the soundtrack cover was the un-utilized Drew Struzan promotional poster for the film."

Pan's Labyrinth - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan%27s_Labyrinth#Soundtrack)

Also, if you add up the two running times from the cover you posted it will give you a total of 83 minutes. The album alone clocks 74 minutes so the difference between them is only a 9-minute thing. Considering that the release in the cover is a bootleg, those 9 minutes could be just silences at the beggining and end of the tracks.

I admit that some cues on the album were not in the film but there are a handful of cues excluded from the album. I extracted the 5.1 DTS-HD track from the Bluray to reach that conclusion.
