This is the original score German composer Edmund Meisel wrote for Eisenstein's silent film classic
Battleship Potemkin. At the time, the music was considered so inflammatory that, in many countries,
it was forbidden to be played against the film.

Great one! Some of the others scores of Eisenstein movies were made by noneless than the great Prokoviev himself (Ivan the terrible and Alexander Nevski). Many thanks for this hidden gem!

Let's say that Eisenstein went a little too far in the Staline direction, but he put some personal things in it too. But you're right, compared to Ivan The terrible, a true masterpiece, Nevsky is out of it's league. ;)
