Well for me its a toss up between FF7 and FF10's characters I think they were really developed quite well, also their stories were told well. The characters I feel I have the strongest bond with are Tidus and cloud:cool: they both have thier own amazing individual story and I admire everything a bout them:p

The characters in FF9. I don't know, the other games, I felt attached to them in a way, but it was usually either only one or two characters. In FF9, I grew to caring for them all.

If you'd asked me this before Easter, I'd have said "Final Fantasy VII, no doubt, I fell in love with the characters from the start, I wanted to be a part of the living tale and I wanted to be there at the end."

Now... I'm not so sure. And that's because I've played Final Fantasy IV. I found myself identifying a lot with Cecil. Okay, so I'm not really a Knight or a Paladin, and I'm a bit naff at the whole white magic and slashy slashy sword thing, but in my stories which I write, I see my character being like that. A character with his own ideals that he follows, and a character who is surrounded by his friends at the end to fight for them.

I could also identify to the relationship between both Cecil and Kain, and Cecil and Rosa. The story and character interaction between these three, and the other characters who come along, is amazing. And it's my personal favourite.

for me... i had the strongest bonds with the characters in ff7 and ff9....
cloud and vivi were my favorite so as a result... i got into the game and their personal stories very deeply....
i can identify myself with cloud but i think that vivi was cool with his magic and the fact that he was trying to be different from the manufactured black mages... and i guess thats what im doing...

FF8 did it for me because I could relate to some of the characters feelings and I liked them more than the characters in the other FF games. The characters played a main part in creating my liking of FF8.

The characters of FF6 grew on me, but they never really 'connected' as what were talking about here. I would have to go with the FF8 crew.

FF9, me and Zidane were indentical in so many ways, so I saw Zidane as a friend and not just a computer game character.

spoilers of FF9

I was pretty much crying when I thought he was dead at the end when he went down to Kuja.

but all of ff7, ff9 and ff10 I that I wanted to find more and more things out about each character, so they all good in character development I felt.

I only got to disk 2 in FF8 cause I got bored with it so can't really say much about it. I will say that I wanted to meet Rinoa for obvious reasons and I thought Squall was a complete arsehole. Zell was the king of that game!

FF7; I could feel the pain and torment of Clouds mind, and the feelings of Aeris, and even Sephiroths imense pain and why he was doing what he did. I've never played a game where the characters were that impacting on me.
