I'm usually pretty sceptical about big name game soundtracks, but this one seems to be alright... at least the main theme is, which sounds like an electrified and Inception-ized version of Terminator 2's theme.

So far, it's a hit and miss. Very very electronic synth based. Perhaps it's needed, perhaps it doesn't. It sound's like this score belonged to Deus Ex or Mass Effect.

agree. sounds like it's a cheap 8 bit. after all those trailers I was expecting something much bigger and more creative than what we have now. :(

This OST sounfs more like ~192 kbps transcoded to 256, rather than an actual 256 ost.

I liked the music in the trailer but I didn't expect them to make that noise in the whole soundtrack.
I wish they kept Mikael Karlsson for BF3, he did a great job on Bad Company 1 and 2.

damn, I love the main theme, but the rest is just a filler mostly. I bet it works in the game, pity it does not outside of it.

I am sad the soundtrack doesn't include the music of theme they used in the trailers when they first revealed the multiplayer. That was the best.

I'm listening to this score as I type this, and judging from what I've heard so far, I can say it's clearly a very minimalistic score and it was meant to underscore the harshness of war, which is not a bad thing per se. Granted the score is not a pleasant listening experience and it must make a killer atmosphere inside the game, I think in that way it's a bit similar to Zimmer's Black Hawk Down score (tracks like "Synchrotone" come to mind), which also didn't quite work outside the movie, but I don't really mind that. :)

So... thanks again for uploading this. I hope O.J. or someone will handle the ripping part. :D

personally I enjoyed this Zimmer's track. I actually enjoyed it much more outside the movie rather then in it. strange, but true :)

Just wondering, how did you obtain the original in lossless? I thought that the original soundtrack only got a lossy release.
