I am liking what I hear so far, but after skipping ahead I was disheartened to discover that once again the ACE COMBAT series did not have an epic battle theme that lived up to Megalith or ZERO. Eternal shame.

EDIT: I take that back. Horizon is pretty good. It doesn't reach the God tier of Megalith...but it is still a very good epic battle theme. Namco...just have Kobayashi compose ALL of the music from now on!

Good choices, I'm currently discovering a whole new world of Ace Combat soundtracks and so far they are leaving a very positive impression.

I knew the style of "Dogfight" seemed familiar - it's by Rio Hamamoto, the guy who did "Call of the Inferno" and "Crimson Sunset" for Tekken 5 DR. Great stuff IMO, wish there was an album consisting straight up only of his work.

Haha that's one thing really cool about Ace Combat's sound team is that the music composition fort he most part depending on which game it is, mostly has their all star teams. Usually the console games are now done by composers who did the Tekken, and Soul Calibur tracks, the handheld ones are now being lead by Go Shiina who's known for Tales of Legendia, God Eater, and once again Tekken.

The uploader mixed up those tracks. "Release" is supposed to be the epic 5:40 theme, "Horizon" is the shorter 2 minute epilogue.

I don't know where you're getting this from, but the encoding is VBR V1 (LAME 3.98 IIRC) and the source is the 3 disc OST from the DX Pack.

Unfortunately there's one song I'm very sad to notice was missing from the OST, then again it might have been exclusive, go look at the "Create to Destroy" trailer, there's like a very depressing version of the main theme and I really was hoping the OST would have it, guess not
