Note: this is definitely the score that got me into film scores and I have never been able to share this before today to anyone but one of my closest friends back in the day. For those of your familiar with the Elm Street scores the scores previous to this have all been horrifically synthetic and apart from the first and second Elm Street scores, not particularly interesting. This is the 2nd Elm Street film Wes Craven directed and this was right before his collaboration with now-famous composer, Marco Beltrami. J. Peter Robinson's score contribution to the Elm Street mythos was a much-needed breath of fresh air. Sure this score does feature frequent synthetic elements but it also features an astounding use of a live orchestra as well. This is definitely the scariest Elm Street score to date and features several themes that still stick in my head to this day. My biggest gripe about this album is the exclusion of my favorite track, Skin the Cat. It was the most powerful cue of the entire score that jump started the third and final act and I personally feel it was a travesty to leave off of the album so I've included as a bonus my rip of that cue from the DVD as well as a rip of the extended Freddy's lair sequence that was heavily cut down on album and the end credit suite. A few sound effects are heard but for the most part it's as clean as I can get it. The bitrate for those three cues is 320kbps. Simply because I am such a huge fan of this score I have opted to not upload an MP3 version for the album sections because lossless is the best way to go with this intricate and very scary score. I hope you all enjoy!

Very interesting composer! I came across his name with The Believers. Haven't heard much from him since.

He co-composed the score for the 1987 cult classic, The Gate, and wrote music for Godzilla 2000 and The World's Fastest Indian but neither match the quality of this score.

Per request, here are the bonus tracks re-upped. Tracks 34 and 36 were remastered from the UK Bluray while track 35 is the same DVD rip as before. Quality is still 320 kbps and here is the link: https://rapidshare.com/files/84689173/WCNNBONUSTRACKSJPR.rar

I'll leave it to you, but there's a handful of cues on his website:
J. Peter Robinson - Music For Film (http://www.jpeterrobinson.com/)

To see if any of those are ones that had SFX and ripped from DVD on your version. Selected Credits, click on the film poster, when it comes to the front, click on it again for clips.

The clips on there are just album tracks. No new material at all.

Has anybody asked, and to see if he's kind enough to share one unreleased cue? Some composers are like that.

When I had IMDBPro, I found his email on there and attempted to shoot him an email but either it was fake or he didn't use it because I never got a reply back. Considering it's owned by New Line who in turn is now pretty much Warner Bros. I know they are pretty strict about that and most won't share due to contractual reasons.

Anyone able to re-up the 3 tracks codyap09 ripped from the DVD. I love this score and have the original CD, but would be interested in hearing the three tracks.
