I was surprised that "The Thing" wasn't here. So I decided to upload the ost, the expanded motion picture soundtrack, and the complete score I found on the net. Oh, and the alternate version of Humanity part 2 was recorded with Audacity from cloudsong(here (http://soundcloud.com/pancho1990/11-the-thing-alt1-humanity) to be exact).

And the expanded motion picture soundtrack was too quiet, so I used Audacity to amplify them.

Enjoy, you cheating bitches. :D

Edit: Humanity Part 2(Alternate version) included in download.

Can't wait to see the prequel.

Edit: Forgot to add. The Thing prequel soundtrack is now included.

I noticed that myself. I'm interested in hearing what you did with it. Thanks.

And that reason would be......?????

What is the bitrate, and tracking, please?

Thanks, William

The soundtrack was released under the Varese Sarabande label, and this expanded version is likely to have music contained in the official release.

EDIT
Meh, big fail on my side, the OP said the archive has the ost.

I didn't know that it shouldn't be uploaded. I did read that one thread about what not to upload, but I guess I didn't remember nor think about it.

Wasn't paying attention. Woke up recently. :p

John Carpenter directed the film, Ennio composed the music.

Actually, didn't both Carpenter and Alan Howarth contribute uncredited music to the score?

I was going to say that about John Carpenter, but I wasn't entirely sure. Alan Howarth, I didn't know.

I love the poster for the 1982 "The Thing". "It" takes you from within, the light from where the character's face would be represents being consumed from within. Man, old movie posters are fucking awesome!

Nowadays it's giant heads Photoshopped together.

DoDoRay9000

Not all the time. Some old movie posters had heads put together, too(eg this one ()) . As well as today, there's some posters that have floating heads put together, but there's some really nice movie posters like The Dark Knight and V for Vendetta, for example.

Y'see though, that the Temple of Doom is an artists rendition! See! It has class! That poster was made back when computers sucked.

The old movie posters did look pretty nice, though. Movie posters, now, I don't really care about them unless there's some cool looking ones like the two I mentioned. Overall, I don't really care what movie posters look like. I'm only interested in a movie if I saw the trailer for it, depending on what it is.

Let me check.

Edit: Well, the part that says "free user" is still working, so I don't understand what's going on. :/

Can someone who already has it / them just upload it elsewhere? MediaFire or somewhere similar for the public, perhaps...

Great. Fileserve wussed out. I guess I'll give mediafire a try, but I really don't feel like it now, because next thing you know, they'll wuss out too.

Edit: Alright, it's uploaded to mediafire.

Edit 2: Hang on, I've done something stupid.

Edit 3: Alright, it's divided into 5 parts. You'll need Winrar.

Might want to try these guys for your file hosting -

I might give that a try, but again, I don't really feel like it since I'm already in the process reuploading my stuff on mediafire(which seems to be very reliable)

Also, I don't understand why the links were just removed, even though I clearly put them on the very first post.
