well some time ago i was playing FF8 and it was the first Battle you have with Seifer and i killed him in one go, all i did was Summon Shiva and he died, this has never happend again, i've played FF8 alot and it never has, maybe it was because i had ice in my Summon/magic attack??? im not sure,

has this ever happend to you or can you tell me how it happend?

When you fight Seifer at the end of Disk 1, he's easy... Seriously, he's weak... Probably cause you only fight him with oen character... So, I think Seifer is supposed to be weak...

Also if you had a high leveled Shiva, that would of course kill him in one hit...

That hasn't happened to me o.o I've made my way through FF8 several time, compared to other bosses Seifer is weaker since you fight him alone, though that weak that you can kill him in one go never happeden O.o.

Im not joking around here i really killed him with just using shiva once, i to have done FF8 4/5 times and love the game but only once Killed Seifer with one hit

That seems possible to me, after all, you can get the Lionheart on Disc 1 if you do the right stuff. So I guess you probably could kill him in one attack. Also, the HP of any enemy you fight is linked to level and the enemie's level is linked to your current level. So if you were low-level but good junction that's one way it could be possible.

Then perhaps you just had a really really strong Shiva, but lower-level characters? As I was saying, Final Fantasy VIII is so different from other FF games in that the level of the enemies is actually determine by your level. So you can actually beat the entire game with all of your characters at that their starting levels if you know what you're doing. (In other words, following the right guide.) And the lower the levels, the less HP the bosses will have and so if you have really strong junctions or GFs, then it seems the one-hit kills become possible. And if the Shiva had learned all of the SumMag+ abilities, plus you used Boost and were doing anything else that would help to increase the attack, then that's probably what did it.

Well im 7 hours into FF8 again and shiva learnt the Summon+ magic things and im doing the Second Dream, so I'll let you all know how i get on when i face off with Seifer

I killed Seifer with Shiva at the end of disc 1.
Squall's compatibility with Shiva was 1000 and i had boost and everything.
Suprisingly so far in the game i have never been defeated prehaps because the Gf's are too strong i mean when i fought Odin it took 3 Gf summonings.
Since i've played FF10 the bosses just don't seem challenging enough, i remeber when i first got my old (now broken) version of FF8 when it first came out i thought it was hell of a hard, now it's just easy. :)

Its very possible, my first time around I defeated Seifer with one Quetzacotl.

lets have another "has it ever happened to you" what weird stuff has happened on ff8? i havent had anything weird, i dont think anyway...

I never had an easy battle with Seifer. Everytime I fought him it seemed I was always pushing myself.

Um, Seifer at the Deling City Parade has 5000hp (from memory) ....so I dunno how that happened...unless your Shiva was level 50 o_O

if i remember correctly, the bosses level up as your characters do rite? or am i loosing my mind, i havent played ff8 in a while so just ignore me if i'm wrong lol
