Loved the movie*, love the score and also got the (now very rare and expensive) vinyl record. The cover artwork really is fantastic!
(*It's certainly a bit cheesy, but Maximilian Schell is always great to watch.)
Oh, and Krakatoa is/was actually WEST of Java...

It's still there, and it's still bubbling away. At least it was when I visited the island a couple of years ago when I was working in Jakarta.

I hope it is alright to post a link here to my newly remastered version of this title in the higher resolution FLAC format. This download is derived from a transfer of an Australian pressing of Krakatoa, East of Java. The content is identical to US LP releases. However, I have re-configured the tracks for a better musical presentation with the Orchestral Score first and the vocal source cues afterwards. Also, I have tried to minimise the shrill high end present on the LP for a slightly smoother sound.
