To be honest i really never wanted to play the Killzone series. For some reason i didn't like the red eyed stormtroopers that i saw in pictures. I always thought that these were the players themselves and i wasn't interested in playing some jack-booted thug who was mowing down innocent colonists just trying to defend their homeland. But after some prodding and a lack of any other interesting titles, and a few that disappointed me, i finally decided to buy both Killzone 2 and 3.
I was quite surprised. I wasn't playing some jack-booted thug, i was playing what looked to me to be a somewhat lack-a-dales idea of what a marine might look like in the future. The red-eyed, jack-booted thugs were the enemies and the environment was rich in combat and well-designed. I'm really excited about this game. I haven't been this excited about a FPS since Quake 4 on the PC. But alas I have to finish R&C: Tool of Destruction first, since i am about half-way through. But i have to admit there's something very arousing about the combat in Killzone 2. The enemies are pretty smart and the way the combat flows is so realistic. It's almost sexy, in a combat kind of way.
Oh Gawd i am so sick in the head.
