The only real expanded score that does not include fake score from other films (i.e. the Qatar tracks) or fan edits, as all current editions to date do.
It also has the best sound quality, and is likely the best version you will find anywhere.

So, question: the 72-track version sometimes labeled as the composer promo...that contains non-Jablonsky stuff?

KaFaraqGatri
09-28-2011, 11:22 PM
I believe so... I know the Qatar track variations and the Road Reunion cues are not real. And I think some of the unused/alernates are fake too but I could be wrong.

Do you consider Road Reunion to be fake? I know Hybrid Soldier does, simply because it's a sped-up "Scorponok". But still, it plays as it is in the film

And why are there 2 versions of Optimus? I know it's heard twice in the film, but I've never seen that on a score before. The same track twice...?

I think its fake because on the old editions, someone just took Skorponok and sped it up manually with software. Its not an actual cue.

Youre right, that is indeed an error!

'Scuse the question, but the track no sacrifice, no victory...is that the end credits?

You know, I've never really noticed this....but there is no end credits track. I think. It ends with "No sacrifice, No victory", and then goes straight to Linkin Park's "What I've Done", and after that I think "Doomsday Clock" by the Smashing Pumpkins. After that, I couldn't tell you. So I think it's safe to say there is no actual score piece played during the end credits

EDIT:

Pardon me if this has already been answered somewhere, but a while back, I had put one of my favorite tracks "When Feds Attack/Bumblebee Captured" on my ipod, and I noticed recently that there's a section in that cue (at the 1:00 mark of "When Feds Attack") where it sounds a bit different from the film version. In the film, there's a part where the percussion really sounds amped up (it's when Bumblebee's racing along the L.A. River and Optimus says, "Easy, you two", but on the soundtrack version, there's really no major percussion there in that spot. I'm assuming this is something that was added in later? (Sucks, because I really like those drums during that part.)

You know, this happens a lot. Most of these complete, expanded, or recording sessions will not contain final film mixes. They just won't. They are all mostly of the music as composed and scored, with final editing yet to be done.

Are final film mixes of scores even around as seperate entities? Once they are edited into the movie, and tweaked, and such, do they exist past that? That kind of stuff is all digital now, isn't it? So, after the film is mixed and released, do they keep that stuff, or just delete it?

You can make Audiochecker report 100% CDDA, when the source file is an MP3 at 65kbps/8000hz.

Good question. I'm sure someone's got them stored away digitally somewhere. As a sidenote, I just spent about an hour doing a little homemade insert of the percussion for that little snippet of the cue (When Feds Attack). I was miraculously able to get a mostly clean version of that part from the 2nd front channel of the DVD. Did a little mixing here and there, edited out the sounds of the helicopters, so now I've got a pretty decent film version of that little part (at least it's decent to my ears, ha ha).

Can argue this forever. Lossless, not lossless....I guess it just comes down to a few little things. For many, if they can't tell the difference, then there is no difference. Now, I get, totally, the collector angle though. Having it at a certain quality for the sake of a collection or archiving, or listening to on a GOOD sound system. I guess it seems a little...rude the way the one post was worded though, demanding that the thing be explained. Perhaps that is not the way it was meant. But, Tak has said more than once lately he is disheartened by the replies and attitudes toward his shares. He is really, truly thinking hard on abandoning the shrine altogether and going private only. As most of us are not part of his private world, that would be a shame, would it not?

I am not saying don't ask questions, just keep in mind possible tone. Dunno, it's late, maybe it is just me.

dsguardian

Yeah, there are quite a few little homemade edits that I do for my own ipod, but I'm always very hesitant to post things like that. "Sounds fine to me, but....."

For instance, I recently did a film-version edit of "Fratelli Chase" (Parts 1 & 2) from "The Goonies". Came out very well, especially since I was able to do it without any SFX during that one little snippet where the Fratellis get to the beach. But yeah, it's usually more of a "ehh, sounds good to me" kind of thing. ha ha

Amanda
09-29-2011, 10:22 AM
i'm not kidding. Those tv tune sites....dl that stuff. It **sounds** not too bad on 10 dollar speakers, but literally 25k or so for a lot of it. I have to imagine that that sounds horrid on any sensible system. One reason I don't share my tv compilations as much.

I redid most of it. But as it is my playlist, I always try to add a bit more than just the main titles, ya know. I am pathologically unable to make decisions, and the list for A-B is over 6 hours....:/

Still listen to it though. MMmmmtv themey goodness....

I was referring back to this post. It seemed like an explanation was being demanded. But, internet tone is notoriously easy to mis-read, so it may not be meant as anything other than a question. I have nothing against lossless, it is just....interesting that...well, nevermind that. Not my business really. Other than Tak is a good friend, and the Shrine seems to be making him genuinely sad these days, is all.

First of all, thanks for this new release, Takehiro. This actually added a couple of new cues to my collection. :)

Most of the material is in the 72 track "Complete" score (wich is, IMHO, the most complete out there) and previous releases but it has 3 bits wich aren't there. "1-09 - DEFCON Delta" is finally in clean form, "2-18 - Unused Cue", wich seems like an amped up but very different variant of the percussion section of "Bumble Stumble (Part 2)", and "2-31 - Invasion (Trailer Music)". The one called "2-23 - The All Spark" seemed to be a simple cut of the first 6 minutes of "Arrival to Earth (Original Version)" but it sounds different somehow, the choir and some levels are a lot stronger so i'll be adding it to the list too. As for the rest i'll have a closer listen and try to spot any differences from the ones i already had. But even if there's nothing else it was worth the download for these 4. :)

The Unused cue (Track 18, Disc 2) was originally intended for the scene when Mikaela is dragging Bubblebee trough the streets.
Of course this was a extended version of the cue since that scene is not a minute long. But then was replaced with the cue you

So you're saying that dsguardian's film edit version of "When Feds Attack" has been included with Takehiro's upload(s)? Because that's what eanetdude is requesting. He quoted dsguardian, not Takehiro.

Also, someone on page 3 referred to one of the tracks as "Bumble Stumble Part 2"...which is also how Takehiro has it labeled. I've always seen it called "Stumble Bumble"--that's what I'm calling it on my edit of the score, anyway. Can someone explain why this switch of the rhyming words occurred?

Ah, it's all cool. Reading that there is an apparent drum overlay makes me curious about it myself. I'll have to take a closer look before my final edit goes up.

Just so everyone knows, my score will be sourced from this one, but I'll only have it at 320, and no flac edition. Also, there were a few cues I needed that weren't on this set, so I had to borrow a bit from MasterZPrime's upload of the score from last year (the 72-track version, or was it the 60-track?). Sorry if nobody likes me talking about my upcoming edits.

Are you sure? Cause on the back of the CD case it's spelled Scorponok, and even in Beast Wars that is how it was spelled. Wikipedia, too. I know wikipedia isn't the most trusted, but still. And when you Google "Skorponok" it comes up with the corrected message: "Did you mean 'SCORPONOK?'"

Read the descriptions for the two names we've been talking about. We've been misspelling Scorponok this whole time! I've become accustomed to Skorponok; maybe we can pass it off as a translational error! The page also discusses a cue called "Bumble Stumble"...I guess I could fix that one.

Shut the hell up! Torrents can't get you anything you want. You sure sound a lot like a scam artist. Let me tell you something, pal. Trust me, if torrents actually anything I wanted, the music would already be all over the internet. I don't think you understand how the internet works. Sir, we've already had to dealt with enough other liars and charlatans elsewhere, and we know better than to believe your words. Besides, I don't think people are supposed to openly post their email addresses on here.

Bottom line: we don't openly do black market trading on this site. If you have something everybody wants then just upload it for everyone. If you don't, then GTFO!

After further consideration, I began to wonder if you were just talking about the OST, nuts. The OST can be found anywhere; you don't even need to search through torrents to find it. We've got several threads dedicated to the Transformers OSTs on here already. But still, why would you create an account just this morning and post your email address out in the open?

lol...am no scam artist

I just know the feeling of listening to the score for all the Transformer's; simply epic and inspiring and all I wanted to do was share with this forum since noticed most of the people here are still looking around for the 'score' by steve jablonsky that was released ages ago

I have downloaded a lot through torrents and I know personally it can be done so don't talk to me about torrents not having anything

don't to me about black marketing either, this site does something similar to that of torrents except this is direct downloads

and for the email am sorry am kinda new to forums and just wanted to help where i can...

and nope am not talking about the OST either; am talking about The Score by Steve Jablonsky

you can find it here if you think am lying

Transformers - Dark of the Moon - The Score (download torrent) - TPB (http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/6530531/Transformers_-_Dark_of_the_Moon_-_The_Score)

hope u enjoy it as much as i did! :)

We have the score album, Nuts, and have since they were released. What they are looking for now is additional score pieces not on the official release, clean of fx. So, not the official OST, score album, or a dvd rip of any kind. Actual true unreleased material, which with Zimmer and Co is hard to come by. There have been many sets posted around here and torrents claiming to be this, but so far all have been proved to be fakes or rips.

It is a bit of a **sensitive** subject lately...

We have a mild case of Zimmeritis. It's not fatal, just itchy and irritating...:)

Welcome to the forum.

---------- Post added at 07:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:18 AM ----------

BTW, checked your link. That is the officially released album. Folks here are groovin' for a complete release..:)

The Dimensioner

Yeah, that's the score; the original soundtrack. Everyone has that, and we don't need any torrents to get it around here. Besides, I think torrents are kind of taboo in these parts anyway. When you quoted theeaglesfan005 about what he wished this thread had been about, he was talking about the complete score: every second of music that was included in the film--not the commercial OST which ccould and should be purchased in stores. Those kind of things (complete scores), for sure, cannot be found by using torrents.

You're just a little off from the norm, and that's why things seemed fishy. Basically everything you did is stuff that we don't do around here. I don't know where you saw that most of the people are still looking for a Transformers score; when there's a new release it gets all over the place here. Perhaps, you were confused about the whole complete score versus commercial OST deal.

EDIT: babydoll got it first.

I don't think torrents are dis-allowed. But hotlinking to any other site, blog, ot torrent is...a bit frowned on currently. And, posting an e-mail openly is just asking for trouble.

Don't stress, sit back and have a drink with us. We don't really bite.

Well, those twisted STS folk do, upstairs, and they gots rabies to.

I just **know** it.

yup. Each post count. But, the system will combine consecutive posts. So you have to have someone else's reply in between, dig? There is a general discussion section in the forum, also, where you can stop in and say hi etc. While technically a spam move, generally folks are fine with short replies and posts to get the count up high enough for the pm function to activate..:)

According to my checking and rechecking, this is still missing cues, based on what's listed on Hans-Zimmer.com. The cues I need for this to be truly complete are:
13. Air Force One (2:28)
51. You're A Soldier Now (Part 3) (1:00)
52. You're A Soldier Now (Part 4) (0:27)
Does anyone have these cues? Thanks in advance.

Guys, can someone download this: Buy Steve Jablonsky Transformers (Recording Sessions) mp3 music. Cheap Steve Jablonsky Transformers (Recording Sessions) mp3 downloads (http://musparade.com/album/Steve+Jablonsky/Transformers+%28Recording+Sessions%29)

and reupload it here?

It's got extra tracks! :D

I can't cause I got no credit or bank or whatever.

Anyway, I got this entire thing, but I can't upload it cause it's too big and mediafire blocked my ip. Plus, can't pay for hosting sites.
