Thanks, but how are we supposed to download this? The site linked is awfully confusing. Rapidshare or megaupload would be much prefered if you don't mind.

I will say this: you'd be hard-pressed to find a more unique soundtrack produced in 2011 than this one. If they do a reboot of Blue Exorcist, whoever the next composer will be will have a difficult time living up to this OST made by Hiroyuki Sawano.

Nearly all of the tracks are two or three separate tracks carefully mixed together to segue seamlessly for 4-7 minutes on average. The first four tracks set the tone, basically, for the diversity and the energy of this score. Track 1 is an eerie score utilizing choral and one-woman wails to their fullest extent. Track 2 is a Remote Control battle track that makes Remote Control battle tracks cower in fear. Track 3 dubs ethnic wails over an electric guitar snarl. Track 4 starts off pensive and electronic-based before turning into a suspenseful piece utilizing plucked strings done in a Western style over carefully pounding ethnic drums.

At times gentle, at times enraged, at times melancholy, the emotions for this score are never lost despite all of the instruments utilized. The core theme is not lost. And, in the end, the final track fades out much like the final track of Wolf's Rain OST 2, as a piano breaking through static seems to whisper to you, telling you it is time to go.

Though there are J-pop tracks as an epilogue, and fittingly, they have their own unique and diverse qualities. CORE PRIDE has a jazzy swing inserted into upbeat hard rock. Take-Off sounds like a Japanese N'SYNC (more like a Korean N'SYNC actually). IN MY WORLD is the most typical track of the bunch, a straightforward pop-punk piece that seems taken out of FLOW's playbook. And finally, "Wired Life" seems to be a kind of electronic/shoegaze combination, and IMO the most resonant of the four . . .

Finally, if you put all of the tracks together in a looped playlist, "Wired Life" segues into the very first track of OST 1 nicely. They planned out this release very carefully. And the effort is much appreciated.

Exactly my thoughts. In my book it's pretty impossible to top both OSTs this year.
Thanks for the upload btw :)
