well i would appreciate to get the link, i've never seen the film but i've read eloquent reviews about its soundtrack, and this is one of the last of jerry goldsmith's scores i'd love to hear (his more recent works is of less interest to me, but this is of course purely subjective...). thx in advance

I've been out for the last days, and I'm suppose that you were asking for the tri2061990's version in FLAC. But anyway, I've PM to those who wrote during the last days with the Vol. 1 & 2.

From now on, if anybody is interested in those volumes, just write me a PM, ok? It's easier for me. xD

Is there anything that is only on the Vol. 1 and 2 discs that is absolutely essential? I've had this one disc version for a while now and I'm pretty satisfied with it, but if there's something incredible that I've been missing I'd love to know.

If you need to ask someone else about the worthiness of music; then you Don't Need It.

I would NEVER ask someone else if they though a score was worth having or not.

TazerMonkey
02-28-2012, 06:07 PM
Bishty, I wasn't questioning the worth of the music, I was questioning the differences between the two volumes and the one disc release of the music that combines elements of both. I don't see how discussing differences is insulting to anyone... This is a discussion board after all.

Sorry for my attitude TazerMonkey but I wasn't replying you but two the other people that asked for the link on the thread instead of sending me a PM. So it wasn't about you.

Now, about your question: I can't remember specifically now since I haven't listened the soundtrack lately, but from what I remember Vol. 1 & 2 have some different themes, so if you have only Vol. 1, I would give a try to second volume also. There's also the possibility that you have another version, the one offered in the first post with 15 tracks, this one has mostly everything that is in Vol. 1 & 2, but more condensed.

Anyway, I could be completely wrong since my memory isn't very... reliable XD

Sorry, it was my mistake. No worries. I do have the 15 track version, so I should have most of the music. Thanks for addressing my question. Didn't mean to start a ruckus. :)

Jacksbrain has it.

There are three Lionheart albums; Volume 1 (42 minutes) and Volume 2 (40 minutes) (both 1987 releases) and "The Epic Symphonic Score" which is essentially a reprint of Volume 1 with a handful of Volume 2 tracks tossed in to bulk the album up to a round hour.

Since it's Goldsmith, well, you really need all of it. There's some glorious cues to be had on the second volume. :)
