Yeah, I read about that in a list of references in the game. There's a Star Trek reference too. One of the people in Lindblum will say "Dammit, Jim! I'm a doctor, not a miracle worker" if you ask them about the potion when you're searching for the potions for Cid.

Yeah, it's been called "the referential Final Fantasy game" because it has so many different references, not just to other Final Fantasy games, but also the ones we mentioned and more. The FAQ I read is at GameFAQs. I'd link it, but GameFAQs doesn't allow that. There's one that keeps niggling at me: "Stock Break." The author the FAQ mentions that he's pretty sure he's seen it elsewhere before and I seem to remember it being in some other Final Fantasy game also, but I can't remember for the life of me which.

It's in the ending, when they're doing the play. They don't make it quite that obvious, instead the line is: "No cloud, no squall shall hinder us!" Marcus says it.

There's a whole bunch of other stuff, like the four Chaoses and moves like Climhazzard and Shock. It's all in that list I mentioned at GameFAQs.
