used "vbjin" emulator to wav out and "music select.lua" for teleroboxer to make things easier. mario's tennis was particularly annoying to rip..... but worth it. i used "audacity" to edit and "lamedropXPd3" to convert from wav.

oh! and please say "thanks" or whatever so i can see that people are downloading this. if i notice my mediafire download count is real high and i get no comments, my feelings will be hurt. also, if dl go down, tell me and i'll reupload.

yes, Blue_Kirby 2's is the rip that started it all for me. i waited a few years for more (and found a few, but it wasn't enough), and finally decided to get off of my own ass and do something about it.
also, the idea of (possible) 3ds emulation has me motivated as well.

i mean, vb is the best and most iconic system of our earth.

well, red alarm has been (completely?) ripped already, it's floating around the net somewhere along with a partial rip of galactic pinball. i plan on ripping every virtual boy game currently existing. my next venture was going to be a more complete rip of galactic pinball, and then i was going to attempt jack bros (i bought it like a year ago and ADORE the music, though it looks to be much harder to rip).
anyways, thanks for the nice words. this is just the fuel i need to keep me motivated. much appreciated, brother.

Holy crap! This might be the most awesome thing I've come across here in months! THANK YOU for ripping this. Especially Mario Tennis. It's a shame that it has literally taken well past a decade for us to get proper rips of this.

If I can be presumptous for a moment. Should you get the chance, in addition to Jack Bros. (which I am seriously looking forward to) would you mind creating a rip for Panic Bomber and Mario Clash? PB is the only early Bomberman game that has no representation anywhere and I love what very little I've heard of it. And Mario Clash is practically nonexistent. The VB had a very unique sound chip and your technique seem like the only chance we gamerippers will ever have of hearing it. Thanks again for this, man!

no worries. thanks for the compliments. yeah, i hadn't actually heard panic bomber until recently (i JUST got it) and WOW it has an incredible soundtrack. definitely plan on ripping it. but....a lot of stuff has suddenly come up in my life and i don't know when i'll have time to get any of the more difficult ones done.
like, with the teleroboxer and galactic rip (that i'm almost done with) everything is easy. there's a plugin that lets you jump through the code and access all of the music easily, so it really comes down to editing. i have no idea how to modify this file to work with other games, and this is brick-walling me a bit. i mean, with mario i was able to cut down on a ton of work because i've actually played it through so many times (memorized where music comes in/ect) and its pretty easy to access the different songs considering the only ones i had to WORK for was the "tiebreaker" and "win tournament" songs.
also, it looks like there was a teleroboxer rip posted to youtube earlier this year i somehow missed.... boy, i feel dumb. thankfully, mine included more content and was of higher quality so it wasn't a TOTAL waste (no disrespect to the other ripper). there was a partial (at least i THINK partial) galactic rip out there as well, but i wanted to finish my own considering i already started...

there's an issue with the musicselect.lua not being compatible with every game, so i kind of gave up ripping the rest of the carts...
if i go back to it and figure it out, i'll definitely rip vf (along with the rest of them).
