As the title says, i went through the trouble of converting all of these to a manageable and easy format for you all to enjoy, so do that.

Thanks for this man i'll take a look when I've played the game.
Btw have you used anyone's rips or your own?

General Zhadow

I used the VGM legacy, but i thought 2GB was too much bollocks to take on board for this, so i cleaned it up and made it MP3.

Ahh cool, is this complete then or has it got a few tracks missing?

General Zhadow
09-06-2011, 06:56 AM
I took out some utterly superfluous tracks that merely serve as background music and sfx during the cutscenes. Allthe music itslef is part of the other tracks, so worry not, you're missing nothing but empty megabytes.

Sounds like what I do to other soundtracks. Cheers man.

Well, there are actually 162 songs, instead of 166, as you mentioned.

162,163,164 and 165 are missing.

General Zhadow

Oh yes, you're right. It was simply duplicate hacking music, so i removed them.

Does anyone know if there are any different tracks on the pre-release OST?

General Zhadow
09-07-2011, 10:21 PM
The OST is only something like 10 tracks. Only ones that aren't here is the opening credits music (Which is admittedly awesome) and a gradual rearrangement of the Bull music. It's on these very forums, so download it if you care to.

A great rip, with good organisation and so thankyou very much for this. One question: been skimming through, can't seem to find the track when you first walk into Sarif's office, the track that features part of the Deus Ex UNATCO theme. Is it present?

I experimented with a few different programs, since this was my first mass conversion. Turns out, some are better than others.

Simply use the program of your choice (I recommend 7zip) to open one of the two numbered files. If they're both in the same folder, they'll be put together and opened as one file.

I've been looking for this. Don't devs realize they'd make money just throwing these more complete rips tracks in iTunes or on their site? Oh well, thanks for this!

As a sidenote, are the boss fight tracks included, and/or what are they named? (Barret Boss Fight and "Everybody Lies" from the Augmented ST)

The boss fight tracks are in, though slightly esoterically named; "The Bull" 1-3+mix, ditto for "The Mantis" and "The Snake" as well as Hyron Core and Wayne Haas.

Many thanks for this! I got the official soundtrack recently, and while it's great, I was disappointed by some of the versions of the in-game music that it included, in particular the fight with Fedorova (The Mantis) and the lack of some nice ambient/stress/combat music combos.
I'm still trying to find the best playback (equaliser) settings to use though for the The Mantis loops, as they have this wonderful sense of impact in the game itself, but when playing the MP3 it seems lacking in something, don't suppose anyone's got some settings tips to share on that one?

Lastly, am I right in observing that all the music is 128kbps and Mono, are these the same settings as the files from the game itself?

I can't even tell you how much I appreciate having a soundtrack rip that I can with a clean conscience pronounce "definitive,"put it in my collection and never have to worry about finding one that might be potentially more complete or whatever.

Thanks for the upload but I'm having some trouble extracting the files. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit edition and am using 7zip to extract. When I try to extract the files the green progress bar stops midway and there is an error message listed next to each file stating "Unsupported compression method for (track name)". When I check the location I selected to extract to all of the files are listed with the .mp3 extension, but will not play and the track time is displayed as 0:00. Any thoughts?

Well, in best case someone release the complete (complete, like 100%, all of it) Soundtrack in FLAC/Lossless.

I like to listen to the Deus Ex Soundtrack while playing Eve, it fits quite well, but the standard released score is just some 12 tracks or so. A shame...
