I'm aware that the original release is Varese, but was there ever a complete or expanded release for this score? Would appreciate any help.

I never saw this one anywhere unfortunatly... One of cult scores that is missing... The only thing i have is the complete end title in perfect mp3 quality (320 kbps) not included in the official release. I can try to find the time to upload it here if there are enougth interested fans.

There was a rumor flying around (or I could've simply mis-read it) at one point that Brad Fiedel has the masters for T2 but can't release them due to budgetary issues with one of it's French distributors. Like I said I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's what I've read. The Abyss on the other hand exists somewhere and we may even see an expanded version of it at some point. Only time will tell.

I'd love the complete end titles to The Abyss! Though not my first soundtrack, The Abyss was the first CD I ever bought.

I'm working on it, my intention is the special edition and going from there. I have 3 albums with the 5.1 sound extracted, I've done track notes and listened to how clean the edits could be and at this early stage, sounds good BUT it won't be easy ... Stay tuned

I used to email Varese 3 times a year for the last decade. Glad they listened, and even more pleased to hear others showing their support for such a great release.

Here's the thing: I look at a new album or something coming soon, I check what I have and I usually something missing ... I have something it doesn't and for this one, I have things it doesn't so hopefully a complete isloated score with loads of extras can come from this. It's years late

They will ship this week, that doesn't mean they'll ship January 6th. Just, 'the week of January 6th'. So closest we can get ours in the mail, would be around the weekend, or early next week I'd assume..

Yes, another user I know said it had shipped yesterday, so they are going out. As for sharing, being Varese means PM, and some members are burnt out on doing that. Maybe it would be better to watch a couple other sites. IF it gets shared with me (it will I am assured) I have permission to share, so I will once I have it up. I will leave a note. Please do not pm me until I announce I am ready as it will do no real good.
