I think he meant to say that if you had ripped the music from the movie cut scenes, it would be perfect. :) From what I hear, ripping music from those movies without sfx is almost impossible.

Maybe somebody could go pester Nintendo about that. I would laugh if that actually worked.

Yeah. Maybe they should release a full soundtrack, including cutscenes.
Anyway, as you most likely know, the reason cutscene music can't be ripped SFX-less is the same reason why you can't, for example, rip a song from an in-movie recording.

Also, (as I already said), you should do a full SFX-less rip of Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Galaxy 2. I'm sure there's some songs that slippyToad may have missed (or maybe there's some hidden unused themes, such as the Yoshi variation of Noki Bay was unused in SMS).

I didn't remember hearing the Casino Delfino/Pianta Village Band Yoshi Version either, and furry bob wasn't every working on both Super Mario Galaxy games.

But yes, you're right, the birds chirping in Slimy Spring Galaxy is an actual song in the game. I know it's in other rips, but I didn't find it in slippyToad's rip, I think.

That was on Smash Boards that I said that about SMG :P Also, I checked slippy's SMG2 rip, and I couldn't find that one either.

however, there is still one shadow mario cue missing, its when he first appears. (electric guitar). that is one awesome intro cue.

If you're going to ask which one Shadow Mario is when it's right there, you're blind. You found it. Cool. But it doesn't hide the fact you can't read. Try it sometime, then you'll be able to read the parts where CUTSCENES CAN NOT BE RIPPED!

The basic steps:

Get an MP3
Open in Wavosaur
Find loop points
Create loop in Wavosaur
Save as *.lwav
Drag LWAV onto brstmmake.exe
Tadah

IIRC, the theme your talking about is from a cutscene, and the cutscenes in this game have the audio mixed with the SFX, so you can't get just the music.
