So just a thread out of curiosity, what was your favourite girl/dressphere setup? You can add like different stages of the game or anything you like.

Personally I found at the beggining of the game:
Yuna: Gunner
Rikku: Black Mage
Paine: Warrior

to be pretty much invincible, I mean the Black Mage's magic is so fucking strong I could literally kill any boss in 2 turns, that along with Trigger Happy to set up the chain = win. Paine just used breaks and stuff, didn't really need to heal since enemies were dead in like 2 turns.
After that I got bored with face-rolling and went on to even more face-rolling by having:

Yuna: Berserker
Rikku: White Mage, I later added Black Magic to her.
Paine: Dark Knight with Swordplay from GG

Damn Dark Knights take out all the fun from the game, they're too freaking powerful, and I dunno if it was just my Berserker, but I found Yuna in this dressphere to be kinda weak, I mean there was no real reason for me to use her other than I like the looks and the fact that she is a berserker and sets some challenge due to her low defense.
so what are YOUR favourite setups?

Wow, it's been YEARS since I last played this game, but I remember having all my characters as knights and bashing all the enemies to pieces!

I'd rather have been able to focus on one thing each character tbh, being forced to change a lot was annoying. But my favourite set up was (I haven't played it for years)

Death Knight (I think it's called that.....)
Warrior
White Mage

But in reality just switch to a special dressphere and auto win most battles, that's how I beat the final boss anyway.

Harkus: Death Knight - I think it's Dark Knight? XD Might have to get out my FFX-2 book for that though...

Despite being one of my least favorite Final Fantasy installments story-wise, I actually really like the battle system. I wish they would have employed it for some of the other games and also regret the fact that S-E recycled most of the enemies right out of FFX. Anyway, I really like this setup:

Lady Luck
Alchemist
Dark Knight

The Alchemist is one of the best dresspheres in my opinion because she can fight as well as use awesome restorative items free of charge. I know it's kind of cheap, so sue me. The Dark Knight is obvious; I preferred it over the Berzerker because the latter isn't really as much of a controllable powerhouse, and I didn't really like the Berzerker's abilities. I enjoyed using Lady Luck for Four Dice and Critical abilities. I also used the Samurai from time to time instead of Lady Luck.

yeah Alchemist is like the cheesiest thing ever hahahah but it's totally legal, it's there for a reason! right?
And yeah I found Berserker to be kinda lame, Samurai is cool I guess, and I hate Lady Luck just because of... well, Luck. And I agree with you the battle system was really good with magic taking time to be casted, and it was dynamic, etc. It was really nice.
