this may sound dumb but how do I open the file, it shows up as a .rar and when i double click it it says it opens in itunes but nothing happens

.rar is an archive format, download and install 7-Zip (free) or Winrar and you'll be able to open it.

You need a program that can open .RAR files. If you have winRAR, winZIP, or 7ZIP you can open them with those. 7ZIP is the best option IMO because, well, it's free and it works.

If you DO have a program that can then right-click>Open with>Select the program you use to open a ZIP file.
