Unfortunately, me neither. I only have an old tape recorded from a CD I borrowed about 16 years ago. That's the best medieval music I ever heard (very progressive style) and believe me, I never posted in that theard but I have a whole collection. It's been 20 years I'm gathering some medieval music. Even infos are hard to find about Tre Fontane, but it seems they have a MySpace since recently. Can't tell you more.

Sorry, but I don't own that one... not yet, at least.

Came out in the mid-70s. The Chicago Classical station played it over and over. If you want your holiday tantamount to an incense chapel, flickering torch light and 10th century readings, works by Chaucer... it remains THE collection of music from the period... X-mas or any other time.

Well, I just tried downloading it on two different computers (1 Mac, 1 PC) and Mediafire is still choking on the file. I know it's not my internet connection as I tried downloading one of the other files and it came through fine. Oh well, I guess I'm just not meant to have this one. :( Anyway, thanks for trying, I appreciate it.

If you've got email, PM me your address and I'll try sending it to you as an attachment, but I can't guarantee the file'll make it over to you or whether you'll be able to actually retrieve and open it. If this is acceptable to you, then proceed.

As far as I know, none of the mp3's or attachments are damaged: maybe I'll just remove the pics, but if that doesn't work... I'd rather not open up accounts on other upload sites right now, and I'm very busy with my grad thesis, but I'll make the attempt to get back to you. Again, sorry about the inconvenience: just what's wrong with the damn file!?

Phideas1

Meaning you have no examples of their work here. I'm looking for a quality version of CRUSADERS. Their sound is curious. Ancient with a splattering of contemporary.., much like the highly recommended PASSAGE 138 B.C-A.D 1611 by the Empire Brass Quintet featuring Rolf Smedvig and a cameo by Mark Isham in the final, haunting track.

This is a truly amazing collection you have put together. Honestly.

I'm amazed. And also very, very grateful!

Quick update: The last disc in the collection has been 'pulled for a violation' or something of that sort. It's Morales, Cristbal de: Missa Queramus cum pastoribus (2008).

Everything else was fine, except for 'If Love Now Reigned', which errored out, and then automatically retried and worked (so, if anyone has the same problem, just wait for it to auto-retry and that should sort it.)

Thank you for sharing!! I had a question... if you had to choose just three of these albums, which would you recommend the most? :)

I'd definitely go with A Medieval Christmas, the one by Oni Wytars and Ensemble Unicorn, and the Gesualdo set.

yikes. seems like these guys have been taken down:

"19Ballata, 14. Jh." by Collegium Musicum Aldovadensis, Choir Chorlton & Gottfried Breinfalk
"Himno XIX: Pange lingua IV" by Hesprion XX/Jordi Savall

maybe the upload name was too conspicuous?
