I found this:

YouTube - ‪Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 The Game - Main Theme‬‏ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqjUkmUxpAc)

YouTube - ‪Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 The Game - Wandering part 1 - Sorrow‬‏ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8dGF8CroYk)

I suppose that the songs are from the original CD that EA Games gave with the game if you had preordered it.

The tracklist I know for now:

01. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Main theme
02. Sorrow
...
...
Bonus tracks:
01. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 Main theme
02. Silver doe
03. Front end

Someone help me?

Those two videos were made with the songs I posted there: http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/most-complete-harry-potter-soundtracks-collection-thread-81069/9.html
And more music will come soon!!

I don't think there is bonus tracks on the original album. I'm trying to download it (but I have problems) as I ordered the game.

Tracks 3, 5, 7 and 19 are from the original soundtrack (I had problems downloading the soundtrack so a few tracks come from it), other tracks are ripped from the game, from the bonus area, and during the gameplay (for tracks 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18).

Thanks for the share but I am quite dissapointed by this, it is as far away from the great Order of the Phoenix and Half Blood Prince as you can possibly get ... I take The Phoenix and the Snake as the final battle over this boring final battle piece that could have come straight out of Transformers anyday.

It's indeed a completely different music... But this one is supporting emotions rather than action, like the Order of the Phoenix. I love the new compositions, I'm not so disappointed. :)

Ok, not so much the composer himself but the style of how the battle themes are composed in this one. I'm certain Hannigan is not to blame for this, it just isn't the kind of music I wanted to hear, so for me it is a dissapointment.

Doublehex

I won't disagree that this isn't as good as Order of the Phoenix - but this is is still a great score. Minor elements of modern orchestral aside, there is riveting music here. The two Main Themes are fantastic stuff, and "Surrender" is as emotional as you can get. And Hannigan kept to his word when he said that he wanted to go out with a bang - the Final Duel is one hell of a piece of battle music.

There is new cues from the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Game:

Loss at Hogwarts (3:07)
Mystery (Piano) (2:24)
The Final Battles (7:26) new arrangement of the two "Final Battle" tracks - parts of music were the same - replace the Final Battle cues.

To celebrate these glorious soundtracks by James Hannigan, I would like to share my own cover artwork for Part 1. Based on the same basic cover art, but better quality, and with the soundtrack "credits" at the bottom to match the style of the other covers for HP 6/7. Enjoy! I will later be making a similar version for Part 2.

Thanks hyut, glad you liked them! always nice to get positive feedback for one's work. Yeah, I'm kinda a cover artwork nut, so when there's not good covers available (either too small, bad resolution, or just boring artwork), I always make my own. In this case, when there's work in a series, I always like covers to be consistent in terms of design/font/etc, so had to do it :-)

Laserschwert
08-04-2011, 05:32 PM
And yet both your covers have different dimensions and different size and placement of the text and the logos ;)

(No hard feelings, I'm an artwork nut myself, and I guess I'm gonna whip up a box-set cover for housing all the soundtracks, as I did with the Guild Wars soundtracks)

thegrizz70x7
08-04-2011, 05:40 PM
haha, fair enough, Laserschwert. As to the dimensions, well, it's all based off of the artwork I can find online. The first one, I cropped to 600x600, since that's what I use personally, but the second one I put at full size so people could do as they please... I could upload the full-sized "Part 1" cover if people want the option.

As to the placing yeah, mostly that problem is in the artwork itself. With "Part 1" I liked Voldemort's eyes, so I kept the full image, otherwise I could have cropped in to remove the top section and remove some trees on the side, which would have made Harry and the Title larger... I was uncertain about that... either way, people can still take my image and crop in if they like.
With "Part 2" all I did was shrink the Title just a little bit and move it "down" in the sky, to make room for more of the characters below. Oh well, you can't win 'em all :-)

Aaargh!!! shoot, now I'm totally torn!! you did a great job. I think for "part 1" I still like mine, if only because the background image is better (colorwise and saturation), a more pleasing image to look at. But I should have done what you did--move Voldy's eyes love in, closer to the title, which would space things out better and show more image at the bottom, move the title higher, etc.

For "Part 2", I see your image is ever so slightly wider on the left side, and you were able to bring the image up, so there's no text over the small character at the bottom, which is good. I too had thought to put the title "behind" Harry's head, so as to bring it down further... but decided against....
Now I feel very torn, as I almost want to go back and fix up a few things on mine... But alas, Excellent work, and people can just choose for themselves which they want to use!

((also I see you seemed to re-do your own "credits" from scratch? your "underline" came out a bit better than mine... but I do see one little glitch, on "composed" you are missing the cap on the C) (just being an anal art guy, sorry))

Laserschwert
08-04-2011, 09:28 PM
Well, "composed" is a verb, so why a capital C? ;) (and before you say anything "Original Videogame Soundtrack" is somewhat of a category-title, that's why it's all caps :p )

The underline is, by the way, a streeeeeeeetched circle. I liked that better than just fading out a line at its ends.

For high-res material the "new" Google image search is actually pretty good, especially the "similar images" function (or whatever it's called in the English version). Also: always check press servers of companies (in this case Electronic Arts) which often offer box artworks at high resolutions.

thegrizz70x7
08-05-2011, 12:16 AM
Composed is a verb, but I tend to either to ALL CAPS (either all size, or else the bigger and smaller caps), or else Capitalize everything except for certain words (like: a, the, in, of, etc). So if you're gonna "capitalize" (here: enlarge) the M of Music, seems Composed should be capped too. Just saying. Plus you were the one who mentioned consistent use of fonts, and that's how the previous Potter score covers were.

nice idea about the underline, I actually always have problems with those, they look kinda cheap just using a fade eraser at the ends, so I'll have to try your suggestion out in the future and experiment. Nice tip about the companies. I always just do Google Image searches with the "Large" filter set.

Laserschwert
08-05-2011, 12:22 AM
"Music" is of course capitalized, as it's the first word ;)

Also I haven't done any covers for the other Potter scores, so mine are all consistent for now :p

haha, I don't buy that "first word" style, for me it's either all or nothing pretty much. Oh well.

There are (I assume) fan-made covers for "Order of the Phoenix" and "Half-Blood Prince", which is what I was basing my font work off to begin with. Haha, anyways, not trying to fight, I'm sure we should let this thread be reclaimed by musical conversations, and not just anal obsessing over art details, haha :-)

Ok, so after the long back and forth with Laserschwert, I have now gone and revised my own two covers.
For "Part 1", I raised the image and cropped closer on Voldy's eyes, all to move the overall picture up higher, so the title is in a better place. Also fixed colors a little bit, less of a weird green. (and used Laser's idea for the improved "underline")
For "Part 2", I used a new image that Laserschwert had gotten, which also keeps Voldy's eyes at the top, which sets the title off nicely, and his also gives a bit more room at the bottom for all the small characters, without covering them with text. However, the only change I did was to move the "Music Composed by" in order to capitalize the "C" to make consistent with the other covers. No hard feelings, just giving you fans options to choose from, enjoy!
(both are now uploaded at full-size for your viewing pleasure)

Also, a quick question in terms of posting, how do you attach an image, but not have it show up at full size in the forum, but have it link to the full size image?

You have [URL=IMGURL]IMGURL?w=350&h=350[ /URL]

Cool didn't know that... I've always made smaller JPEGs for that.

Hmm, I tried doing that, but it didn't work, would show the full size image, but bits of the code before and after it, will have to keep messing. In which of those spots do you actually put the Image link, versus the spots where it's simply the code reference?

Now that I've tried it, it doesn't work... probably the reason why I didn't know about it :D

This seems really good! I didn't like Hannigan's OotP soundtrack - maybe because his music played at random times - but he seems to have improved greatly.

Abbey & thegrizz, thank you so much for your work, I'd given up on having decent, listenable versions of these scores... so awesome :)

Strange, it didn't work when I used it from imageshack. It must be something unique to Wordpress, the site where I host all of my covers on my blog.

Thanks a lot for this music! I love Hannigan's work for the Potter-Games, even if I've never played them.
I think from all the other composers from the series, he followed the magic that John Williams created for the movies as best. It's a shame that his HP-Scores aren't available on CD...
Thanks again!!

It would be nice to see both of these reuploaded. I was waiting for the dust to settle on the gamerip situation before picking them up.

Could anyone re-upload the raw pc rips?

That would be an Upload, rather than a re-upload. A re-upload pre-supposes that it was previously posted here.
