Every version of this (admittedly guilty-pleasure) score that's leaked is basically the DVD menu tracks mixed with the End Credits. So I figured it was time to post something better for the fans of the score (of which I know there are a few).

Some of this is lossless sourced, but some cues I could only get in MP3. Where possible, I declipped them, and remastered them a little bit to try and improve the sound but there is only so much you can do with lossy sources. So I encoded it all to FLAC but please be aware its not true lossless, as this was only done to preserve the original sound quality.

This version contains new, never before released tracks with zero SFX. No rear channel rips or anything like that. I hope fans of Zimmer and Powell will enjoy it. Its mindless music but its fun mindless music :)

IIRC, Geof Zanelli did some extra score for this movie.
Thankfully, I found your version to return to that theater :)

Thank you for releasing the score, Takehiro. After listening to the expanded film score, I was simply blown away by not a few music from the original bootleg, but the tracks that we haven't heard before was definitely the ultimate joy ride! The Chill Factor Expanded Score needs a front and rear cover immediately!

To everyone including Takehiro... HAPPY ID4!!!!!!!!!

Never seen (or even heard much about) this movie, but I'm always up for more Zimmer & Powell, especially if it comes from Takehiro.

Thanks so much!

Any chance of an mp3 mirror? Your vbr encodes are great too, Tak.

Also, the old 38 min bootleg was disgusting to say the least, I think it was the 25 min suite and end credits version cut into separate tracks, but with jarring fades that just put me off. I am looking forward to your version, as I sense by the new tracklisting that this is the definitive CHILL FACTOR.

If I encode these to MP3 it will only degrade the sound more, as my OP says. Its very very very simple to decode FLAC to MP3 though, if you wanna do that.

BTW Arial made some better covers, but I didnt include them as I wasnt sure if he'd be OK with it. But I can add them if anyone wants?

Thanks a bunch Tak...funny I just saw this movie recently.

FYI anyone who need this in MP3 should download LamedropXPd (http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lamedrop.php), open it...go to encoding options and select "quality" and move the slide bar too 100% then highlight all the tracks in the folder then drag and drop them in the LamedropXPd box. ;)

Not to add any spoilers, but my favorite tracks in THIS expanded score are Fly Fishing, Facilities Raid, Long Dies/On the Hunt, Motorcycle Chase, Boat Ride, and Final Chase.

For those of you who've listened to the Bootleg Score... please throw it away and replace it with this expanded score instead.

Actually you couldn't, as they were not there. I had to pm Tak after having read your post for he shares those covers I did for this set at least a month back.

Also, I did request Tak not to be credited, he expressed his surpise asking why, and I finally said he would do as he wishes => and I'm saying that for your memory Tak, wich gives you a clue why I didn't reply to your last pm after my question, while in the same time removed you from my "friends" list (hence I guess your silly comment in the last Batman Begins thread toward my work - looking to me like trying to highjack any interest from someone else's effort when it comes to your idol). This already happened with TDK with the covers I sent you by pm: check in your thread the post where I give the backcovers and express my surprise they were not in the set while you had these quite before uploading it - you couldn't miss it (but you seem to ignore most of my posts since then). Sorry then, I don't buy the "... it was out of respect for your work" explanation.

... All this goes along with the weirdest story of all: Cheeseparty who has uploaded the Batman Begins complete score 3CD expressed his surpise when he found my covers to be the ones he received with the set he bought. I did these on request from you, privately dealed by e-mail 3 weeks before. I would have bought your expanation about this sharing site someone would have found these covers on if you hadn't especially requested from me the tracklist and arts had to remain 'for my eyes only' until it comes ou. And admit, the guy selling it to Cheeseparty really must know what to look for to find these covers with the exact names for the tracklist of the complete score before it leaks anywhere on the internet... No matter you leaked these arts, I found out funny at first, that's not the point. The point is about the explanation I had from you here again.

So, sorry to spoil the party here the time for a single post, but I'm glad I've never been one of Takehiro's "loyal followers" as he likes to call them, being not interested enough here to fulfil all his wishes, and not stupid enough not to reckon a bit who is at the other side of the line, whatever generous and kind you may look over the FFShrine forums. I warned you in all honesty and straightness I was not a hypocrite since day one when you asked if I could be at His Majesty secret service doing arts "every now and then"...
You're not such a bad fellow I'm sure, but I felt enough taken for a dumb with you for you to even reach another list in my settings in the end, just so you know.

... You can now try playing the cool guy with a humorous card to make me look insane in reply. Or maybe the victim, or whatever. Nevermind. The best may be to take a note of this conclusion of my experience with you, and I know this one won't be the first of the kind from a member, giving unfortunately in public some details you may consider should have remained private. Sorry again, but that would make too simple for you to go on with your nonsenses if I replied by pm, or here without mentionning the facts. I hope it will help you consider your relationships with your "friends" more seriously in the same time if you can learn from people and accept critiscism.
Actually, I would have remained totally silent about all this if you hadn't stepped in with this silly post in the BB thread, certainly due to this pm matter, but that joke just woke me up... (you didn't even care explaining your friends asking what you meant btw). I'm not susceptible here, just thought you deserved once more from someone a full, detailed explanation, and by luck it happens that I have gold fingers that make details my speciality (too bad english isn't !).

I hope none will judge, and pass over it. As said Takehiro to me once: "we're all friends".

PS: I'm glad every one could finally find those covers.

From Russia with love

I have no interested in engaging in public altercations, nor in "making you look insane" but I will have my say.

I did rectify the oversight with the Chill Factor covers, and Im not sure why you dont believe me when I said I didnt include them out of respect for you. Once you sent me a PM asking for them to be included, I got right on it. They're on now and everyone can enjoy them.

As for my "silly post: on the BB thread - it was a Zimmer reference, didnt you get it? There are 4 CDs worth of material, hence "too many notes" as seen on the Drop Zone soundtrack. I think you read into it a little much lol. I didnt respond to any questions people may have about it because I am not subscribed to that thread. I figured everyone would get it anyway.
