Im listening to the score right now, the one moment that blatantly reminds you of the Inception horns is Shockwave's music. It starts with a total Inception horn, but then morphs into its own thing.

An amazing soundtrack, although it felt a little more low key, especially compared to the 2007 score, but I don't mind at all, it will be interesting too see how it all fits in to the film, and what all is missing (which I'm sure is a ton!) Thanks again for the post!

Thanx a lot.

The first half is kinda disappointing. The 2007 score is still my fav.
Anyway, the soundtrack gears up in the 2nd half and becomes something really cool... :D

It's a bit rubbish. I still enjoy the first score immensely though, especially when you add some of those unreleased suites (or whatever they were) that were released some time ago. The second and third scores just don't have nearly as many catchy, memorable tunes as the first score does. I'd like to be able to say this new score is a guilty pleasure, but alas it's just guilty.

Shame.

I've seen it twice already, yesterday in 2D and today in 3D. Just the fact that i went a second time says it all. Personally i loved the movie, it has it's flaws, the major being the same it's been throughout the trilogy, not enough robot air time, though to be fair, they got more in the second and a lot more in this one...but when you have something that cool on screen, it always keeps you wanting more :P The editing is typical Bay. As for the tone it is darker, much darker than the other two. The story is good, not as much of a clusterf*** (quoting Brains) as ROTF. But this is my opinion. Hope you enjoy it.

Anybody noticed how similaire the It's our fight beginning is so close to the ending of Mind Heist cue from zack hemsky, the music used for the inception trailer? Almost the same notes. Same percs, same pace, same beat, same instrumentation. Just few notes differences...

Still good. But this, and the second cue directly coming from last samurai, I wonder how much he had to stick with the temp track for this one. Can't wait to see it with the movie though.

I was actually surprised how good (IMO) the music was in this film. ROTF didn't really give me much (I did like a FEW tracks) and, of course, the first film is the still the best in terms of music. Although, I was a bit disappointed with the score's release (not the music in the film itself, but the songs that were released or weren't released). I was really wanting to listen to the track that plays when all the Decepticons come to Earth. It's basically a lot of male chanting, but I really liked it. Shame it wasn't on the released score. Maybe they'll release a complete/expanded version in the future (doubtful).

... it has it's flaws, the major being the same it's been throughout the trilogy, not enough robot air time, though to be fair, they got more in the second and a lot more in this one...

"Quanitity" doesn't equal "Quality" and I don't think Bay understands this concept - just because there is a motherload of bots on the screen, that doesn't equate to having more focus on the robots (which is basically why we are there to watch the movie in the first place!)

My friend told me that Ironhide and the twins dead in this film. Is that ture?

Not to add any spoilers (though at this time, I doubt there would be any) but what was done to Ironhide in this film was an absolute travesty... but then again I feel this is a direct reflection on how shallow and meaningless these 'bots are viewed by the movie makers...

BUT! I apologise - I seriously digress - thankyou so much for uploading this score for all of us to listen to and enjoy - you're too kind! I hope to listen to it shortly, when it's finished downloading! Thanks again! :D

I wonder if now that Blu-Ray ripped files are already on the web with 5.1ch sound, and since that full movie score that's been much talked about is yet to surface, and probably never will, some of the many tallented people on these forums will be able to make something out of that... though no one did it for Revenge of The Fallen... hope so.

I don't know which answer I respond to you with, Drunkenmunkey; I've had to write so many over the past days. How about this one: If there were any updates on the complete score yet, they would be marked by posts made by people discussing any updates on the complete score. Have you seen any? Me neither. Three more days until he has to post Inception? I don't think so. If you ask me, I think Mark was just trying to get the TF3 sessions for nothing in exchange. He'd get what he wanted and be on his merry way to leave us all crying.

It's very much like what Mr. Jones did earlier this summer with the Pirates 3 score he was waving around--at least what Mr. Jones had was somewhat legitimate as what he posted as samples on YouTube is now available on the Shrine. Mark never proved that he really has music to belong to the tracks (which have to have somewhat false slate numbers attached to them, since his score has been arranged in a way that would not match real recording sessions).

Man, how did you make these? I have split the 6 channel from the 5.1ch track (DVD, not Blu-Ray). The SL and SR channels are the ones with the least amount of dialogue and SFX but lose a lot of sound to the other channels. I never got my edits to sound this good. True, i'm a complete noob in anything more than editing. I also have the DotM 5.1ch track ready for edit but doubt it'll be anywhere near as good as you got these to be. And most importantly, are you considering on uploading the full thing? There's a lot missing but as you stated, these are samples. Anyway, thanks for these. :D

I just wish someone with the skills for it would do the same for Revenge of The Fallen and Dark of the Moon. The best i can do with my skill level is mix the SR and SL channels and cut the cues. I have 46 already cut and although it is better than nothing they are full of SFX and some dialogue that carries to these channels. Of course the absolute best would be for the studio to either publish the full scores officially or, as with X-Men, release the movies with isolated score tracks. Since they're putting the full trilogy out in Blu-Ray in a Collectors edition they could add that. That would certainly make those BR fly off the shelves. :D

It's not a matter of the quality of the DVD that defines how good a DVD rip is (maybe it's a small factor). Largely what determines it is how they format the audio on the movie. Transformers is full of sfx and explosions because that's what that movie is. Besides, age can't be factor. Hear how good my rips for Pirates 2 and 3 turned out? (I'm not bragging or anything, its a fact that quality isn't really determined by age.)

If they've done it for the Alien films and now for X-Men Firs Class, why not? Unless they intend to release full scores commercially and don't want them ripped, then OK, makes sense they don't have that isolated track. But they don't release the scores... so why not give people what they want? I know i would buy a few more DVD/Blu-Ray's if they had these. And even if they want to release them commercially, the isolated score track has the music edited to fit the film wich is always very different from what comes in the CDs.

Guys, I don't think it has 3 extra minutes. I read about this last night on the boards on IMDb and a lot of people think it's a lie. And do you know what the source is? WIKIPEDIA. That's how we know it doesn't really have 3 more minutes. Besides, don't you all think we would have heard something by now? It comes out tomorrow, there would have been a special advertisement for it. AND - don't get it at Wal*mart. Best Buy has the Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy pack for $17.99. You can't beat that.

But, there's a bit of music in the end credits: A variation of "We All Work For The Decepticons" combined with a small part of "Dark Side Of The Moon". You want it? Give me a few minutes.

i remember (from the 5 times seeing it opening weekend) 3 of the songs in the credits that played:

- Linkin Park "Iredescent"
- Paramore "Monster"
- Biffy Cyro "Many of Horror"

i cant remember if there was any score or not

Well, with me I only have Iridiscent, another song that I don't know and then score.

Edit: I'ts hardly much, 2:05 minutes, but it's nice to hear it as the last score of the film. Here's a link if you're interested: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=V44968S5)

- Paramore "Monster"
- Biffy Cyro "Many of Horror"
- score by Steve Jablonsky[COLOR="Silver"]

I know you can pre-order it, but I haven't read anything about a midnight release...if that makes any difference.
And I don't watch Transformers, but is this the last installment?

It's SUPPOSED to be, but all Paramount cares about is $$$$$. Michael Bay and Shia LaBeouf have both stated they are done with Transformers, but last week Tyrese said he predicts they'll return. He also wants to do Transformers 4. As much as I love Transformers, they should just leave it. This ALWAYS happens. A trilogy is planned, and then a year a two after the 3rd one comes out, the studio puts together a 4th one

Yeah, I see what you mean. I never watched Transformers but I hope it wouldn't be a reboot...it seems that those don't tend to go over well.

So what's the scoop from Best Buy?

jus picked up the combo pack from wally world 8:15am EST

got it for $17.96!!!!!

also... on both the bluray & dvd it says

"This disc contains a "Discrete" English 2.0 Surround track which was mastered to ensure optimal sound for the home entertainment system"

could that be the isolated score? :)

The Dimensioner
09-30-2011, 01:26 PM
Why would that have to be an isolated score? Why would it be important to know that the music had been formatted into English 2.0 Surround Sound? Do you like to know what language your music is in?

...Besides, someone already threw down the possibility of an isolated score track, considering there was never any news of it prior to what you guys started talking about yesterday:

Didn't we all say this about Pirates 4? Look how its score turned out. There's even talk on the HZ forums that the next Batman movie's score could have a similar fate as Pirates 4.

Earlier this afternoon, I've purchased the Combo Pack of TF3. I was surprised that the Blu-Ray isn't in DTS-HD Master... instead, it was presented in 7.1 Dolby TruHD, Dolby Digital 5.1, and Dolby Stereo 2.0 and French, Spanish, and Portuguese 5.1 surround sound and English Video Description.

Overall, I love that film!!!!!!

Everyone: don't expect anything tomorrow. I just don't feel it. I have consulted with others on this matter, and they all agree with me. So no one whine or bitch tomorrow when nothing goes down. Just saying it now. If anything happens, I'd be surprised. If not, let's all move on with our lives, ok? Ok, good. Glad to get that off my chest.

I'll take your advice, DAKOTA. I have better things to do besides waiting until we get nothing in return. If the two complete scores (TF3 and Inception), I'm sure I'll be happy. But for right now, I'll just enjoy both scores and the 2 films that I have. Or as Optimus Prime would say, "Wherever there is hope... there is life."

I've tried my best to stay away from this forum for a few days (for my own good I suppose). And yes, well said Dakota. As if it won't EVER come...... patience has always paid off in the long run anyway.

BESIDES... (as the greatest singer in the history of contemporary music would say) It's Friday, Friday... gotta get down on this Friday. Forget about it for a little while and looking back on what we've gotten this year... everything leaks eventually. God... I sound like a fucking idiot... I ramble like a motherfucker... Anyways, have a great weekend all... whether we get what we want or not.

Nope nothing yet. Nuffin never. Time to find out whom mark g is and go up to his house in a white van.

Or you can wait a few decades (say two) and wait for a nice label to release a complete score for all three movies. That's what happened with a lot of Sci fi movies... As I keep saying, patience in the world of film scores is a virtue.

And don't go for the white van. too high profile. Do things with style, with flourish !

Ya because he wasn't a longnose in the cartoon. Honestly (I may get slaughtered for this) I think new Optimus Prime looks so much cooler than old Optimus Prime. Plus, Bay said the flatnose style just wouldn't work with the way he would transform

The Dimensioner
10-02-2011, 12:01 AM
That's weird that Optimus Prime is a Peterbilt, because he is also voiced by Peter Cullen. I know: random!

Here's another random fact: Peter Cullen is also the voice of Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh.

T-Mann036

Let's not forget the fact that Peter Cullen was also the voice of Ironhide in the Sunbow/Marvel/Toei Transformers series in the mid 1980s as well.

As for not having the booklet don't worry about it. It's rubish, as generic as it gets, not a single photo, just some lame graphics that look like Tetris blocks. :P The music's good though, even if they don't bring anything new in terms of unreleased cues. But for die hard fans, as me, it's a welcome adition. :D
