Interesting soundtrack. I grabbed it today from a torrent and was surprised at first by the synth in tracks 2-5. Then I got to some orchestral music for four cues and then some interesting stuff at the end. I haven't given it enough of a listen to make up my mind but it is certainly an interesting score.

Now after a second listen I'm certain, this is a good example of a modern score done right.

This OST should not be any good, it's too eclectic and at first seems to have no unifying theme. But the OST is good. No, excellent. It uses so many instruments, electronic and live, and manages to form everything into a cohesive whole like Taku Iwasaki's best scores. But unlike Iwasaki, there is no cartoonish sound in any of these tracks. This is something more poignant, and more human, in the lighter-hearted tracks. And the action/dark tracks are about as intense and strong as you would expect for an anime where Satan himself is the bad guy.

Also bonus points for the lyrics being written in good English. As for the vocalist . . . she leaves something to be desired in the enunciation department.

Bouncing from electronica to orchestral to piano solos to symphonic rock and everything in-between, no combination seems to be too out there. Electronic programming dubbed over a live snare drum in a parade-like ensemble? Yeah, no problem there. That's just an inkling of the diversity of this OST.

Let's put it this way, you're not going to get bored anytime soon. At least, not until OST 2.

Considering this OST is out and we're not even at episode 13 yet, I think it's almost a given we're gonna see 3 or 4 OSTs out of this one, especially if the anime runs for 50 or so episodes like it is rumored to.

I like the soundtrack. Some of the tracks reminds me a lot of Tron Legacy OST.
