Mary Elizabeth and Akira would have made one kick ass band.

Akira Yamoka only wrote the lyrics for the vocal tracks in Silent Hill. The music was done by Joe Romersa. He's the male vocalist you hear in Hometown. So Joe Romersa and Mary Elizabeth would make one kick ass band.

Anyway, Akira Yamoka is one of my favourite musicians working today, he's very clever, and has been doing interesting things with guitars for some time now. Silent Hill is a fantastic track, as are Breeze in Monochrome Night, and Dance with Night Wind. The songs for which he wrote the lyrics (You're Not Here, Waiting for You) are some of my favourite songs in general, and Letter from Lost Days is a very moody, ephemeral track I've always dug.

Pretty much 90% of what the cat's done has been work I really enjoy.

Too many to pick only a few.

Special mention for Room Of Angel though. Some days it drags on too long, some days it's better than perfect.

I wonder what you'd think of 4, Doc. We have to figure out a way to get you the whole series in PAL.

Theme of Laura is legendary. I'm also quite fond of Love Psalm, I Want Love, Never Forgive Me Never Forget Me and Tender Sugar.

And speaking of Akira Yamaoka, I can't wait to hear Shadows of the Damned. It's also been confirmed that it will have a few songs by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn!

God damn, the whole SotD soundtrack is something else really. The best way to describe it is Silent Hill meets Planet Terror and that barely comes close to how good it is. I can't wait to play the game, too!
