Haha, thanks Wildwood! I must say, that's about one of the first times someone's accused me of living in a cave when it comes to film music, haha, but I admit there's definitely lots of good composers out there that I still haven't touched and Baxter is one of them. Excited to begin a whole new musical adventure!

Sweet, thanks for the suggestion. I guess that is where I should begin. I really don't know much about Baxter, so anything people wanna suggest, I'd be very interested in. I don't even really know his style, I am guessing he has more of an old-fashioned orchestral style, based on his films.... or does he have more of a mix with synth type sounds like Richard Band? or maybe i'm totally wrong to compare the two, it seems both composed lots of sci-fi/fantasy B-movies. I have lately heard quite a few of Band, but maybe Baxter was earlier, or are they around the same time/style.
Anyways, what might be other good Baxter scores to check out (I'm a big orchestral/thematic fan, if that helps at all). Thanks!!

Well from what I've seen so far, Baxter has some scores that are purely old style orchestral and some that are mixed with synth and some that are very jazzy and then the exotica scores. I am quite fond of the Marco Polo score that was just released by Kritzerland Records (not going to post it because it is still available) and I also enjoy some of the orchestral horror stuff he does like House of Usher and Black Sunday. There are quite a number of baxter scores released by La La Land as well but I could never get into stuff like the new release Man with the X-Ray eyes.

Glad to see Baxter getting long overdue recognition by way of these CD releases.

I have this one as well although I didn't post in FLAC.

If anyone needs the scans I can post those separately if requested.

The scans alone are 69MB total.
