If one wants an mp3 version there is no problem in converting from flac. It's impossible however to convert the other way round. If a lossless version is available everyone gets what suits them best :)

I've listened to this seeing this thread bumped many times and I just can't understand... Sounds so poor music to me...

It's definitely not as well done as the first film. The best parts of the score are only simply enjoyable to listen to because they're recycled from the first film, and even then they're not as well done on this score. It's also sad that this score clearly wasn't recorded as orchestrally as the first film's...oh well, my point is, the first score was better. Hopefully we get that one day.

Unfortunately Gray, I don't think so. There is a complete DVD rip out there that I have, but it's got SFX on it.

What's put on the commercial album release is almost ALWAYS different from what we hear in the film. That's why there's a difference

There's actually a couple of things missing from these surprisingly enough, one thing I noticed right off the bat was the missing intro to "Queen's Room", the sequence where Riley sets up in Buckingham palace is missing, The bit when they brake in and Knock out Patrick is missing, and the first half of the Library of Congress Escape seems nowhere to be found. :O

Is the flac version 5.1 or not? If not, please tell me if there are active links to the mp3 version. And does anyone know anything about the recording sessions for angels & demons? I'd do anything to have those.

Well, if you'd want to do that, I would be very grateful. I think FLAC is just too big, and I am using a screenreader because I'm blind which cannot work properly with MediaFire, so the less archives I have to download, the easier it is for me. Also, I'm perfectly happy with stereo in 128 kbps, so the files would be much smaller, but if you don't want to do this, I will be happy to download this one as well. I just never understood why people make such a big deal of FLAC, if I play 128KBPS MP3s on my six speakers, the sound is just marvellous.

I understand your point. FLAC for me is sort of a matter of principle rather than of being (or not being) able to tell the difference from mp3, although 128kbps is a little extreme. I can definitely tell the difference between this low- and higher-bitrate encoded mp3s. Call me a perfectionist. :)

I'll upload the mp3 asap, should be up in an hour or two (provided my Internet connection does not go bonkers again). It will be about 240MB, i.e. 2 archives.

There's no apostrophe in 'soundtracks' as it's plural and not possessive.

Compared to what version? The stuff in the archives is all I have. If it's incomplete, I'm afraid you'll have to look elsewhere.

EDIT: As a quick sanity check I've downloaded the mp3 version and compared the contents to the FLAC's I have and they match so I really can't help you here.

Possible for a re-upload? A MP3/320kb/s would be nice!
