its a damn shame theres no Main Theme from the TV series without sound fx on the Sliders album.

Yes, there's one Danny Lux version in particular I want, but Mr. Lux does NOT like giving out cues, or promos. You basically got to be a director of a studio person to get any of that. Last time I checked, his website contains NO samples. Whjy have it? Why not just link to IMDB, especially if you don't update your site and credits. It's really not promoting anything.

No, never attempted it myself. I have probably two or three boots that were rear-channel rips (like the expanded "Along Came A Spider").

One could rip the rear channel track, then the regular Rip, and edit in the part where the sound effect had been, incase the quality is different, and create a nice quality copy.

Using this and the programs, one could split the channels and remove the one that contains the vocal. I've never done it before, but if it allows, you could copy that section from one of the other four channels and paste it into the empty spot/over the vocals, so it doesn't suddenly dip. If we're very lucky, the two or three FX parts in the theme, are in one channel, too, and we can do the same thing.

Based on what you've said here you got a little too far ahead of yourself regarding DVD audio tracks and sound mixes, more specifically how they vary depending on the film or in this case, TV show.

SLIDERS has no "rear channel track" because none of the DVDs for the series were in 5.1. They were 2.0 stereo, and incorrectly promoted as being 2.0 mono.

Sliders was never in 5.1 surround. It pre-dates the use of true Dolby 5.1 surround in TV shows and the DVDs are a reflection of the original sound mixes - stereo only - for them. The various Star Trek series DVDs were in 5.1 and those pre-date true 5.1 surround as well, but they were basically upmixes. They had the original elements and made use of them which was better than most upmixes, though the rears are basically filtered / processed versions of the front stereo.

Oh, no, I am here, I did read it.

You see, I never checked "Sliders" to see how many channels it has. Plus, there's sometiems releases, or BluRay new editions of stuff, and you never know what improvements of new mixes will be done.

I would mention, are you sure it's stereo, and not just fake stereo? Mixed to sound like it is.
