there are the freud cues and the howard hanson 2nd symphony excerpt used in the end credits. the intrada version is goldsmith's complete score but the spanish version is the music as it was recut and edited by ridley scott.

intrada left out the freud stuff and the hanson excerpt.

? Why not just dl the Alien ISO score...it by definition would be everything in the movie...

I am betting a lot of folks dumped their boots when the Intrada was released.

also it's not a bootleg technically, as it was an official release for the 20th anniversary of the film

There is nothing on this Spanish bootleg that you wouldn't find on a) the Intrada release, b) the Freud soundtrack album, and c) any good performance of Howard Hanson's 2nd Symphony... and you'd be getting it in significantly better quality.

I had this (maybe I still do, somewhere in the archives) and it's a noisy, hissy, claustrophobic sounding piece of poo.

And it most certainly was not an official release; it was a bootleg. Released without the permission of the licence holder = bootleg. Goldsmith recorded a 35 minute suite-arrangement of the score in 1979, which was released on LP and then ten years later on CD by Silva Screen. That is the only official release until the definitive Intrada in 2007, unless you count the DVD's isolated score tracks.
