David Holmes ~ Out of Sight


This - at least I hope - definitive compilation stems from three sources: the promo, the album and the DTS stream of the Blu-Ray release. The latter resulted in track 23, which consists of slightly different versions of Bathtub and Basketball.

The dialogue-plagued official album contains two pieces not to be found on the promo: Rip Rip and Tub Scene (an extended version of Bathtub). Rip Rip had to be heavily but cautiously edited in order to free it from the babble. Some minor drum variations got lost, but the majority got reconstructed or saved and the overall structure was retained. Also taken from the album is the majority of the track No More Time Outs, which had a longer fade-out and fewer distortion problems.

As for dialogue in soundtracks, I actually like the dialogue in soundtracks. One of things I liked about the Quentin Tarantino soundtracks (particularly Jackie Brown which is my fave QT film).

misses the SFX-riddled opening (Get some Isley Brothers albums instead!)
all-new downmix of 5.1 end titles
No More Time Outs now uses a major part of the album version (thx 2 Lashrito), which also had some flaws to be repaired.
fixed some glitches in Rip Rip
