Here I have posted the complete soundtrack/score to Fright Night. The first disc replicates the original soundtrack album, and i also added a personally edited club scene mix track. The second disc replicates the previously released bootleg soundtrack with four additional tracks that were heard in the film but have not been previously released...EVER. It does have minor vocals and sound effects, as it was ripped from the 2.0 soundtrack of the German track, mixed with the 5.1 soundtrack of the English track. Please enjoy!

this is awesome!, alongside the lost boys it's one of the 80's vampire movie i personally love. the upcoming remake/re-take of fright night looks cool so i'm definitely looking forward to that. the score, brad fiedel's music here is a classic, ...i have been tracking all the floating bootleg soundtrack and is still waiting for the most complete/ if not at least has something that hasn't been released yet. this would certainly be a good addition to that so thanks a lot for sharing!!

right now a fellow shriner here is still doing that project and i can't hardly wait to hear the final edit when it does come out. :)

That would be me. I'm not here to steal your thunder, megamattterra. You've done yourself proud .. it's something I'm quite passionate about because there wasn't a 25th anniversary for anything 'Fright Night' related except the remake which annoyed me so I set out to do a major update ... and just when I thought I'd finished, I find more ... and last week I struck bonus material gold, something that's never been available - DVD commentary, 2 of them ... just need to update the artwork and we're good to go
In the meantime, check this link and listen in HD, you'll might find it interesting

Don't get cute, guys! I corrected the error I made on the label, so that people would be able to save it in their computer, to add it to the music. It was pointed out that I had put the wrong artist on the front label and I corrected that error, I was NOT trying to "pull" something over on people! Stop thinking along those terms, as only TROLLS on the internet think that way!

Gentlemen - can we remember that this is a thread for a score that someone has spent a lot of time working on and making it available for us score fans?

Sorry, but isn't a bit disrespectful to the work that has been done on this project to be bickering about a slight mistake and a slight misunderstanding. I'm seriously not trying to moderate just saying.

Hehe of course it's a bit disrespectful, but it's not any reflection on the work the OP has done. Anyone who loves Fright Night is a friend of mine. And trust me Blonde is the one who gets my 100% undivided respect for the effort he's put into his awesome Fright Night Expanded OST which will be going out on The Inferno Music Vault soon. It's f***ing great work. As for William, I'm just winding him up because, well, it's so darn easy and I'm a mischievous c***.

Yeah, with enemies like William, who needs friends? This reminds me of my former boss, who was a complete tool. He used to think he could get away with saying whatever the hell he liked and it was fine because he stuck a smiley face at the end of every email. Tosser.

So, Fright Night then, what's everyone thinking about the remake? While I'm all for Colin Farrell being a sexy vampire, I'm really quite appalled from what I've seen of David Tennant's version of Peter Vincent. Though Anton Yelchin does seem kinda perfect for Charlie. Wonder if Evil Ed will actually be out in this one ;-)

Well, Ghostface, I will have to sumise from your silence and lack of reply to my PM that you do have some sort of agenda against me, for some unknown reason, just like GWENT did! Or, perhaps you ARE mr. gwent, in a sockpuppet account, just wanting to start some more trouble. Don't know, don't care. Whatever your problems, leave them OFFLINE! Do not come onto our board, hoping to start a problem. Perhaps you should consider an increase in your medications, or perhaps switching to decaffinated coffee and other drinks will help smooth out your days! Whatever works for you, just do it and don't bring your problems here!
Oh, and BTW, people who live in England don't refer to themselves as "English", only Americans refer to them as "English". I lived in south London for 5 years, and people always referred to themselves as "British"! Using catch words from the Harry Potter books and movies such as "tosser" and "tool" does not make you British, just posing as one! That's not true William, I'm not trying to fuel the squabble or start another one but I am Scottish and have lived all over England and watched British television all my life and there are many thousands of people who refer to themselves as English, or the entire country as England. It was always something that pissed of the Scots and the Welsh and the Northern Irish was the fact that whenever an English athlete won something at the Olympics or whatever it was celebrated as an English triumph but if a Scot, or a Welshman won anything it was celebrated as a British triumph.

Maybe South London is different but it is not representative of the entire UK.

For God's sake, no one answer that ... please just get back to the subject at hand, the title of this thread, let us leave the trouble elsewhere

To be honest I love Fright Night - it's one of my favourite movies but I have no problems with remakes (maybe I have problems with the amount of remakes being made but not the practise of making them).

I see it as being the same as different productions of a Shakesperean play where they will update Richard III to a space station or Macbeth to a psychiatric hospital :). It's a different treatment and while I have no idea whether I will like this one I do think that the original had a good enough premise (not original in the slightest as it was a retelling of Rear Window and the Boy Who Cried Wolf story essentially) that it stands to be remade.

I like the fact that they seemingly have changed some aspects - I like the update of the Peter Vincent character - it makes sense to me.

The one good thing that can sometimes happen with with a remake, especially if it's succesful is that we may get a decent DVD or BluRay release :)

The remake score will never be as good as the original (much like the Conan remake score) as the original is so brilliant. I am very much looking forward to hearing what you have done. I am not sure where I'll find it as I'm not that au-fait with many other places but that's beside the point. It's a score that needs some love and I am surprised it hasn't been given any official love so far :)

I watched it too on 5 * and I was disappointed, it's a great movie but it was messed up by being edited for TV. I seen this movie many times on TV and that's the first time I've seen it cut. Channel 5 isn't on par with Channel 4 and the BBC when it comes to showing 18 rated movies from 9pm, I remember watching Scarface on BBC2 many years ago in a 9pm timeslot and they shown the whole damn thing, not one line or a drop of blood missing ... it doesn't make sense.

One more thing, if there is anymore trouble here which does get the thread shutdown, my new soundtrack will not appear here

It seems that Intrada has beaten me to it. Brad Fiedel's original score is being released this week, to say I'm disappointed is an understatement given all the work I've put in. BUT I've seen the new tracklist and it isn't exactly the full score like mine, there are what look like pieces that haven't seen the light of day so all I need to do is intergrate them into my album and you've got the best you can get ... what does get to me is that why is it when you've think you've finished, you've taken things as far as you could, I have to ind something new?

Anyway, here's a link to the new tracklist:

You guys did a fantastic job! I've had the pleasure of having the original soundtrack songs on vinyl record and then picking up a mix of the songs/score CD from a place called Monsters of Hollywood, but I'd have to say that this version that you all put together is easily the best of all!

Well Done! Awesome job!!! (And I particularly like the way you included Jerry's "Strangers in the night whistle" in that one track.....genius! :D

Oh man, this movie was just one of the best movies of the 80s, what a great score. Cant even tell you how many times I plan to make love to "come to me" :)

thanks for this

just watched the movie a few days back, love it soooo much! can't wait for the remake

BIG Update - I'm sure you all know by now about the Blu Ray release on Tuesday. The isolated score bonus track is the complete score that was posted on this thread in early November.
Those of you who downloaded this new album might remember there being some background hiss for which I could not shift. Our friend Phaota told me recently that he can clean the little problems away without further ado ... there's no need now since this new isolated score is the update we've all been waiting for even if it does piss me off that it's taken soo long and after all the work I've done the past year and a bit.
I'll try and have this new improved DTS-HD update 2.0 put together by the end of the year ... stay tuned

I heard the remake score supposed to be pretty cool...as far as Remote Control scores go, anyway....Thanks Mega!

The FN remake score is better than the remake IMHO though I did like Tennant as Peter Vincent. I've seen it a couple of times now and it's really not grown on me, except for the score which I like a lot.

Sorry, it seems fate has been watching my good fortune as of late and decided to fuck me again by taking my external hard drive with all my projects and everything else I've been working on away ... I was on a role, just released Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey & The Golden Child new improved anniversary editions and wham, fucking thing won't load up and no one's giving me a good answer to why ... 1400 to get sent off and diagnosed and sent back was not what I wanted to hear from PC World nor was 'buy a new one' ... all my work including some great stuff to be released this year is on there ... I don't know if everything's still on there or it's wiped ... so you can imagine that I'm frustrated. I really wanted to get that isolated score put together and posted but that's not gonna happen from me til further notice

That sucks. I'm really sorry to hear about your hard drive. Hope you're somehow able to recover your data. Thanks for letting us know.

Welly welly well, it's taken a lot longer than it should have be it is finally finished. Since I began putting together my anniversary project 2 years ago, my intention was to bring everything together but I ended up finding more than expected like the DVD commentary ... I've got the isolated score, fully edited and containing all score pieces from my project but with 6 new tracks. This brings closure to a project I put so much into. I would call it the 'special deluxe ultimate best there is best there was best there ever will be big bad balloon cock walrus titty that's it be all end all you won't get a better edition' ... but I think 'final cut' will suffice for now.
For those of you who don't know, this was the original album, released Halloween 2011: 25th Anniversary (http://theinfernomusicvault.blogspot.co.uk/2011/10/fright-night-1985-25th-anniversary.html)

I used to attend Inferno's Vault until they quit posting back in February, can anyone post a new upload of the 25th Anniversary Disc set here? I would greatly appreciate it. I have some soundtracks of my own I am going to put up that everyone will enjoy .

Be patience. It's fresh out the oven and encoded in WAV. I want to update other tracks affected by this updated piece. Only the Isolated score will be in WAV, all other material is MP3 ... hopefully I can get Mr Ghostface to do an update on his artwork, watch this space

I don't really complain much but I do get angry when I find projects being sold when they are supposed to be free (http://www.ioffer.com/i/fright-night-25th-anniversary-edition-3-cd-set-ost-525562424). This happened before with Jaws 2. I work my ass off, I spend a lot of time putting these things together and this just throws what I ... what we faneditors do into disrepute. I don't get money noer have I ever excepted any in all my time as an editor. People are so cowardly

On eBay you can report that kind of thing and they take it down. Maybe see if ioffer have some equivalent, they should do :)

I'm upset that Inferno Music Vault is no more, I just checked the other day to see if it was still up but nope. I would love the version that was up there, I loved the material shared there. If you check this could you send me a link to it, blonde180246? I would appreciate it.
