Welcome to the first Star Wars Soundtrack DTS release. This is a Fan Project and not an official release and all material used in this project is copyright to Lucasfilm. I wanted to make a great sound and visual experience with the music from Star Wars, as we can all agree it is one of the best compilations of music that tell a story all on its own. What better way to do it than combine the dazzling concept artwork of Ralph McQuarrie and the moving cues of John Williams Star Wars Score. A special thanks to the aforementioned artists and to George Lucas for the epic Star Wars story.

A special thanks to the crew at surroundbyus.com who designed the software that allowed the conversion from stereo to surround of the original source being the Anthology set. To find out more please visit their website.

Please let me know what you think of this release and enjoy. May the force be with you!

I'll definitely be checking this out. I'm a film music stereo-to-surround upmixer as well, and would love to hear how this sounds and I'll check out the website to see the different methods. Thanks!

Interesting; does one have to have an SACD player to use this?

A couple of scores but mostly a lot of experimentation. I've done a test of upmixing "Star Trek II" and it had pretty nice and discrete results.

I do a lot of surround mix enhancement, taking music already in 5.1 and making the mix fuller, clearer, and so on. Titanic's 5.1 album, A Beautiful Mind, Star Trek Nemesis, to name a few.

I didn't start downloading this until today, and got the entire torrent in around 5 or so hours.

No, SACD is an entirely different animal.

A simple DVD player connected to a surround sound receiver capable of playing back DTS audio will do the trick. :)

O_O This is worth a look. I hope the upscale has turned out quite dynamically.
(More dynamically then when Hans Zimmer released a DPL II encoded version of Sherlock Holmes).
Will get back to this tomorrow when my monthly limit resets.

It's more a stereo-surround mix with a lot of LFE so it's quite powerful. Haven't played it out loud, but instead looked at a few tracks in Audacity to see how it was mixed.

I have a similar limit too. Gotta love Rogers and the limits and caps and bandwidth...ah forget it.

Yeah I've had my computer running all day every day just about with uploading at a maximum. Good to see some seeders now to help me out :)

Yeah the LFE track came out really well in the conversion process, some slight clipping in areas but otherwise it sounds really nice. The Ralph McQuarrie artwork compliments the music perfectly, I'm just trying to find some prequel trilogy artwork for Ep II and III with a good size for the conversions of their soundtracks.

Enjoy all and let me know what you think!

My download completed in 48 hours... my first torrent. I'm busily "seeding" now. I've not got a DTS processor and I'm unlikely to get one anytime soon, so this may just be for the archive. Can it be burned to CD without loss of any information ?.

Cool, thx for seeding! It's a dvd file, and the audio is DTS 5.1 48khz so it can only be played on a dvd or blue-ray player and not a CD player, but if you mean just to back up the actual .ISO file then yeah you can burn it to a dvd disc as data as the files are too big for cd-r. You can still play it on the computer as well, if you have a 5.1 setup you'll be able to get a good listen at the surround mix. The programs I provide in the torrent can help with that just read through the readme file.

Ah, thanks. I saw that it was an .iso but I hadn't burned it yet so didn't know if it was CD or DVD. I'll try it out soon.

Hi All,

Available below is the torrent to the Prequel Trilogy DTS 5.1 soundtracks. They are in the same format as the original trilogy conversions being DVD's with the encoded 5.1 DTS stream and art work visuals from the prequel trilogy.

Enjoy!

Here are the files downloaded from the torrent, and re-uploaded in a password protected shell...

DepositFiles (http://dfiles.eu/files/4ds262anl)

Password: Orion999

The file is over 3 Gb, and after expansion is over 7.0 GB... so you will need at least 11 GB of free disk space to get this.

WARNING:
You are advised to use Jdownloader 2 to download the file, as it will ask for a 2nd captha around 1.98 GB. Most browsers cannot handle this, but Jdownloader 2 allows the download to be resumed at this point. I reiterate, you will need to use Jdownloader 2, not Jdownloader.

You need to RESUME the download... do NOT reset it, as that will restart it from the begining.

It can be downloaded from here... JDownloader 2 - Beta FAQ - JD Community (http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=37365)

Or here.... JDownloader.org - Official Homepage (http://jdownloader.org/download/offline)

Unfortunatly, I have no answers for my request.
I have try to follow the way the post's owner managed to obtain such result to make a small test.
With the new ultimate digital collection 192khz, the DTS file seems to sound better than Prologic I (it's easy, this effect is very awfull, too much background noise on surround speaker),
and better than SRS Circle Surround (Music) (which is a great surround effect)
