Greetings.

I have a simple question : How much FF merchandise do you own? I've been told by my friend, Enkidoh, that I have a little too much, then again, he's got some as well.

In any event, I shall list below what FF merchandise I have, and let me know if my collection is too damn big compared to yours.

Movies - FF Spirits within DVD.

*Tries to remain inconspicous*

Well DH, I guess that makes us both freaks then... lol

Anyway, I love FF collecting, as it's a neat sideline from actually playing the games. As for my collection:

My rarest FF/Square item: either my large FFVII 'Battle 5' character art laminated and framed print (I heard that there were only 3000 produced in Japan), or my Yoshitaka Amano 'Japan ~ Final Fantasy' FFV & VI art book - it's no longer in print and I absolutely adore his art!

My strangest FF/Square item: probably my Black Mage Money Box from Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon 2. He looks quite kawaii sitting up on top of my PC's monitor! (now, if only there was one of the White Mage!)

My most valuable FF/Square item: FF Anthology 'Special Collector's Edition', the US NTSC version with FFV and VI and that bonus music CD. I know it's quite common in the US but here in Australia it's very rare. Along with my COMPLETE copy of Chrono Trigger on the SNES, complete with manual and BOTH maps in PERFECT condition!

Now for my COMPLETE FF collection:

FF Tactics US NTSC version PSX.
FF Origins (I & II) Australian PAL PSX version, complete with both game discs and two bonus Yoshitaka Amano art cards.
FFII (IV) US NTSC SNES version, missing manual and Map.
FFIII (VI) US NTSC SNES version, complete
FF Anthology (V & VI) US NTSC PSX version, complete with game discs and bonus 'Music From FFV & VI Video Games' audio CD.
FF Anthology, European Edition (IV & V), European PAL PSX version, complete
FFVI European PAL PSX version, contains FFVI disc and bonus FFX playable demo disc for PS2.
FFVII European PAL PSX version (one of the few original pre-ordered copies), complete
FFVIII Limited Collector's Edition, European PAL PSX version, (boxed edtion), complete with European version of the game, memory card, t-shirt, poster and memory card stickers - complete)
FFIX Australian PAL PSX version (came with a PC trailer disc for FF, TSW)
FFX 'International Edition' European PAL PS2 version(contains FFX disc and 'Beyond Final Fantasy' DVD)
A large amount of soundtrack CDs, both OSTs and arranged versions:

Chocobo Racing (PAL)
Xenogears (US NTSC)
Ergheiz (Japanese NTSC)
Chrono Trigger (US NTSC - SNES) Complete, with manual and maps!
Used to have Front Mission 3, but sadly had to sell it as I needed money urgently.

As well, there are several things currently I have my heart set on, which I'd really love to find:

The Art of FFIX art book (US one published by Brady's Games)
FFV White Mage and Sorcerer keychain figures
Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon 2 White Mage keychain figure
FFVIII Odin and Slepinir GF action figure
FFVIII Bahamut GF Action figure
FFVII Tifa version 2 vinyl statue.
FFIX 'Diorama' figures (including the Garnet and Zidane one you've got Kuro!!)
Any figures of the White Mage (I've seen keychain figures in the past, but not lately... sigh)

Finally, I guess I can also add my FFI White Mage robe costume I had made for my local anime club's end of year cosplay party last year to that list! (Check out the thread entitled 'Cosplay' in this Forum for pictures of this costume!)

Greetings.

"Freak"? Hmm, maybe. I prefer the term "Eccentric". I believe you have to be obsessive at least about one thing in your life time. Collecting this merchandise, hey, it's something I enjoy. All the items I have, are in mint condition, and make good conversation pieces when someone visits. My room is cluttered, as I have the figures, either still kept in their packaging or on display in a display case. What I listed above, is only what FF merchandise I have, I have other figures as well, ranging from Legend of Dragoon, to Tenchi Muyo. Hell, my videogame collection spans from the NES, SNES, N64, Megadrive, Mega-CD, Saturn, Dreamcast, PSX, PS2, VECTREX and two PC's. I have a lot of games per console, and most of them I paid very little for, or were given as a gift.

I guess what I'm trying to say is everyone has a hobby. Mine is collecting items, which I like, and get enjoyment out of. If that makes me a freak, Hell, I'm a freak! An ECCENTRIC freak. And I'm proud of it.

Really. Who cares if people like to collect merchandise. If they wanna', let 'em. Ain't your damn life to run. If people have a problem with it, Enma's got the two golden words: FUCK YOU.

Anyway, I'll list what FF Merchandise I have (I wish I had more..:( )

Games: FF Tactics, FF7, FF8, FF9, FF10, FF Anthology (FF5 FF6)

Toys/Figures: Squall Leonheart, Seifer Almasy, Zell Dintch (think I spell these last names right..I think), Selphie Tilmitt, Edea, Blue Giant (FF8), Aki Ross, other d00ds from FFTSW that I can't remember

Clothing: Black Sephiroth shirt (if you want a pic, lemme' know)

Posters: Cloud Strife on Shinra Motor Cycle, Auron with Yuna and Tidus in the background, Zidane (FF9 Cutscene/FMV), Aeris & Tifa CG Art (not real posters, but mreh).

Movies: FFTSW, Final Fantasy Unlimited 1st Series (Subtitles)

That's pretty much it...if anyone, I mean ANYONE has a Cloud, Sephiroth or practically any FF7 action figure....name your price. I seriously, SERIOUSLY want one. PM me if interested (*Crosses fingers in hopes of PM's*)

Hehe, really now... collecting FF merchandise doesn't make anyone a freak. It's fun, I tells ya! It really is! ^_^

Wow, DH... Enki.... I think you two have officially scared me with all your stuff now! Hehehe... wheee! ^_^

---

Most "valuable" item: My fiancee knows Sakaguchi, so the crowing glory to my FF merchandise is one of the FF9 art books that he autographed, along with a few irreplaceable photos and other things.

Most unusual item: My premiere tickets to FF: TSW. They were pretty, I tells ya!

Recently acquired "YAY!"-inducing item: The FF I & II Premium package from Japan. Yeah, I'm nuts. I actually got that thing instead of waiting for it to come out in the states. But worth it, I must say.... ^_^

Other than owning all the games, and a good majority of the soundtracks, I also collect the action figures, plushies (hehehe... I haven't been able to look at the stupid moogle the same after playing FF10), art books, keychains, and I have a few of the posters. When Square closed up here in Hawaii, I also got a few wall art posters from them, in addition to some nice Final Fantasy books and stuff like that, and more TSW stuff than I know what to do with. o.O

Koenema> You might want to check eBay or somewhere like that for the FF7 figures. We (meaning my fiancee and I) got the action figures when they first came out, and out of curiosity wondered how much they'd be worth. Some of the figures pop up on there every now and then.

I think I've already told you this once before Kuro, but, I am still drooling over your collection! Personally autographed FFIX art book?! Japanese FFI&II Collector's Set?! OOOooooohhhh.... ah,.. I want one...

Now THEY are collector's items!

Wow, nice collections. True freaks really exist :p Way to go.

I just own the all the FF games and some sounds tracks...all original copy's, all mint condition. I take pride in collection the game's and taking good care of them...Although, recently i've taken an interest in buying the anime...tell me, is it any good? Heard it was flop.

I own Final Fantasy IV through to X. That's it. No other merchandise. Although I have seen certain action figures available. I wonder if I can buy a Seymour poster to put onto my dartboard? Or a doll to practice my voodoo upon?

(Ponders.)

May have to see if I can find anything here in Blighty similar to that.

I don't own as much FF stuff as everyone else here, but hey.. I can't afford it. ;)
-----------------
Games.. Well.. Lets see.. I am a major FF4 freak.. So naturally I have 3 different copies of FF4. SNES (US), PSX, and WSC (I actually own a WSC). I also have FF5 (psx) and FF6(SNES US and PSX). Used to own 7,8,9,10, and Tactics, but sold them cuz I needed money.. And I wish I had another FF1 cart..

Merchendise.. Aki figure from the spirits within and a Seifer figure from FF8. I worship my Seifer figure.. Still in its box.. Used to have a Greiver chain, but azazel bought it from me in Oct. I also have 3 decks of FF8 playing cards..

Just got the PAL version of FF Origins, which has FFI and II in the same pack along with some nice Yoshitaka Amano art cards included (Strangely enough, I got FFO on my birthday too!), so, I've just added that to an already huge list.

And with a house move coming up, it's going to take me ages to pack it all up and shift it all! Ahhhhh!! Not fun, I can tell you.

Just got a FFIX Garnet vinyl statue, to go with my Zidane one, so that's yet another addition to my collection! Damn!

*looks over at his collection on display, which is overflowing off hi chest of drawers onto his tv and stereo*

Can't wait until I get that display cabinet that I've been promised for my birthday (I'm getting it when I move home soon), as I've now run out of room!! And trying to keep dust off the figures is a real problem too.

Just got a FFIX Garnet figure from the new 'Heroines of Final Fantasy' figure series that Bandai's just released in Japan (I got it through eBay - not a bad buy for only $8 Australian!). DH got the FFVII Tifa figure that was also on auction at the same time. I've also got two FFIX art books (their titles ellude me at the moment) also through eBay from the same seller as the Garnet figure - I'll be sending payment to her tomorrow for them.

Geez... I've REEAALLYY got to stop spending so much on collecting FF and anime stuff!! Otherwise I'm never going to get to Japan... sigh...

Just got the new FFI&II Original Soundtrack CD album (the PSX 'FF Origins' version) from eBay, and a very special, not to mention very rare, Japanese grey boxed FFVIII GF figure of Bahamut.

The thing is, it's a limited edition 'clear' version - not the regular 'clear' version. This one is moulded in purple and grey - the regular 'clear' one is in red and yellow; and he looks a lot like Bahamut from FFIX! And now, due to his large size and massive wing-span, he stares down on me menacingly from the top of my PC monitor, perched on top like a purple gargoyle, right beside my little Black Mage money box figure!

Damn it! Must... stop.. buying more merchandise!!!

FF7 (PAL) (PC)

I have reaaaallly got to stop getting so much FF merchandise! Ebay is killing my bank account!!! lol

Anyway, my latest FF aquisition are four rare FFVI Japanese strategy guides from eBay - three are for the SNES/SFC version, and the other one is called 'FF Collections' and is a combined guide book for the PSX versions of FFIV, V and VI.

Now, despite all four books being totally written in Japanese and my knowledge of Japanese being limited to a bit of Hiragana (yes, I flunked out of my college Japanese class!), they still look good! The artwork particulary, is worth the price of the books alone!

Also, I've got FF Tactics Advance for the GBA on pre-order at EB. Should be out this week... (crosses fingers.)

Wow, I'm so like.. stunned. I mean maybe if I eanred like 700 dollars a week for like 3 or 4 years then I could catch up to some of you. My GF figures (bahamut and diablos) alone were 50 dollars together.. Well, there goes my college fund. As for games I've got the usual blah blah blah that everyone else does.

Except for one thing...

Because I very-much-so doubt that ANYONE else in the world has an auron figure made out of toothpicks. What can I say, I was bored! It looks more like a teepee though. But hey, as long as I know what it is right? Ill sell it to you. Um.. 50 bucks. Come on I'm trying to go to college here in a few years!

By the way. Did anyone ever make an alexander action fig? Haven't seen any around.

Oh, and anything anyone might ever want to own that is final fantasy-oriented ought to check ebay. Like type in squall and see how many necklaces and rings and gunblade keychains you could ever possibly need *drools*.

The Piggyback Strategy Guides for FFVIII, FFIX and FFX
The Art of FFIX (beautiful book ^_^)

It's been a while since I posted here. Ignoring my own thread, my bad.

Anywayz, my recent additions to my FF collection are the Yuna, Auron figures to my FFX set. I already have Kimahri, Tidus and Lulu, so now I just need to find a Rikku, and I've got the whole set.

I also got, for my birthday, one of the japanese edition GF's of Cerberus. What was so special about this one, is that it's part of the limited black/silver edition with a piece of the Ragnarok in it. When I get the black/silver Ifrit tomorrow, I'll have three pieces of it. Damn, why did I miss the others?

I've got three new additions to my collection. Final Fantasy X-2, the Bradygames guide to Final Fantasy X-2 and the Final Fantasy X-2 Play Arts figure of Yuna.

I think my hatred of FFX is well known here, but with these three items, I was given a good deal. I got the game and guidebook, brand new, for $35 AUS. The figure, around $20 AUS. What can I say, if I see a good deal I take it.

..... Hmmmm, that could be taken so many damn ways....
