It's actually worth it, SFX or no - Dominic Frontiere's incidental music for this show was superbly eerie and tense. Works, even with the FX.

NICE! Now I have deleted it, and I should have listened to it! Well, I guess I can always download it again. Harumph :)

It looks like a DVD rip, but still it is a wonderful listen.

Yes, it is not too bad, even with the occasional sounds here and there. I think that they can be edited out, and make a nice score after all. I will work on that. :)

Thanx

if this is what I think it is, a friend of mine made it. Does it end with Michael Rennie saying "Goodbye, Mr Vincent"? If so, here's links to it in 320 MP3:

THE INVADERS TV series, mainly composed by Dominic Frontiere

Did you ever find "Invaders From Mars?" I'm curious because I'd love to find stuff from the 1953 film, not the remake.

I know you were addressing scoregeek, but I happened to upload it for someone. I was just making sure it wasnt already uploaded when I found this Invaders TV thread. Anyway, here's a link to the "Invaders from Mars" thread.

thanks for the re-up Sadsack.
You say that is a friend of yours done that? Then very good works (specially from a video tape!). i have this bootleg for years and i've always wonder who done it.
there was nobody on forums able to tell me. So, say thanks from me to your friend. I love this ost, i saw the fist episode (in france , in 1969) i was seven, and since i'm waiting that CBS (they seems to haves the rights) to release it.
maybe you know the theme from "the unknown" the last and aborted season of outer limits (on CD "a name for evil" LALALAND). the music is clearly the title of "the invaders", only thing we have to listen.

This man is so underrepresented on cd. I would love to have the music that he wrote for a lot of series, especially "12 O'Clock High" series...sadly, lost to time.... Thank you for this, Sadsack!

Hello, again, sadsack! Years ago I downloaded the 2 cd version of this, I don't know where from, but since I've always been after any Frontiere music, of course I looked at this thread. I didn't have the single disk version, and of course whatever you upload is always worth checking out, so I dwnld'd this one and just listened to the first cut, then the last, and have to say the sound quality on your version blows the 2 disk set I have out of the water. Totally. Dwnld'ing your 2 disk set now. Despite some fx, this is a must have for any Invaders fan. Thanks so much for this!

Honored General, wouldn't the 12 O'Clock soundtrack be a wonderful thing to have? Not just for the brilliant music, but to capture for all time the first appearance of the Star Trek TOS intro. It's about the 3d episode of the 1st season, the very beginning, where the whole thing appears note for note except for the final two notes that are different. And I'd also love to hear a selection of his music from the first season of Name of the Game. Grusin did the theme but Frontiere did a second theme associated with one of the three leads, plus most of that actor's episodes.

a little late to this thread, but "Branded" had much excellent music by Frontiere (and others).

La-La Land retail release today! Not the complete series which utilized several composers, but most of the Frontiere music.

I wouldnt throw out the home edit files. The retail set doesnt have all of the Frontiere music, and not much of the other composers. Abit disappointing.

I bought it anyway. But I'd always keep those "homemade" versions.
