Anyone got this game??? what do you think of it, think i should buy it???

I almost finish it and its quite entertaining than the previous one. Buy it because its battle system is very cool. Not only that, the game has so many secret event and side quest that can keep your ass stay on the ground for a long time ^_~

3D? 2D?
You know is it like FF? Or Suikoden? Or Saga Frontier? Or maybe one I haven't mentioned.

I want to make sure it's worth my hard earn pound. ^_^

As in the first Legaia, the story starts out simple and then at a certain point, becomes more complex. But the only problem is that the story starts off poorly. Not much of suprise, really. Character depth is impressive. Unlike many other rpgs that tend to not have enough character depth to make them realistic, Legaia 2 portrays them well.

As for the graphics, the full 3D backgrounds have improved greatly, as does the character models. Most of the NPCs have lame designs however. Attack and spell graphics are simply fantastic. The frame rate is slightly boosted but you won't noticed it. Though definitely not FFX graphics, the graphics are at least up-to-date that much better from the previous one.

The biggest improvement in this game is its gameplay. Some of the changes make TAS ( TAS allows the player to input d-pad buttons for attacks ) better. another good thing from the game is you don't have to absorb a monster to get a new spell, which gets tedious at times; it's learned. Weapons change visibly on screen when you equip a new weapon, but the armor doesn't now XD

The reason why is that Legaia 2 uses a customize system for items and equipment where any item can be combined to make a new one. This is one of the coolest things to be found in Legaia 2. Cooking is a new thing in Legaia series. The player can cook from recipes to boost stats and give support to characters for battle for a while. Like the new item customize system, the ingredients have to be found first.

Well, I've bought the game (part of a 2 games for �30 deal at Virgin Megastores), and sooner or later I may even get around to playing it. At the moment, I'm busy with Final Fantasy X and also I've got exams to revise for. So, the moment I've finished exams and I've grown bored of Final Fantasy X (or just feel like a change) I'll give it a whirl.

Suffice to say, from what I've heard from various people in chat, the game's highly addictive.

I had my doubts when I first played it, as all I could do was compare every little detail to the original. A couple hours in you'll realize that the game is actually alot of fun. The soundtrack is beautiful in most parts, and the voice-overs (though there's lack of lip-synching) are a nice addition.

It isn't as challenging compared to the first game, or on RPG standards in general, as there are countless ways to power yourself up, so don't expect too many game-overs. I also found it rather short.. But side-quest wise there's plenty to do, as Maestro said, and it should keep you for at least 2 or 3 weeks.

I have the game for just over a week now. And I must confess I am even more impressed about it then when I was about FFX. The battle system is simple perfect, I so loved it. The story is great so far (no I havent finished it yet), and the music is very pleasant to listen to. I can only recommend this game. If you like it is up to you, but if you ever have played a FF game or any RPG and you liked it then you shouldnt miss this game.

i think this game is merely mediocre. The graphics ok, the story is bland, but better than the first, there was little character development, and the voice acting isn't that great. The only thing that was good was the battle system. I think the first ones even magic system was much more fun than this one's, even if it was really tedious. The final guy was so easy that I beat him on the second turn, and I was only at level 65. The game is a little better than the first, though I personally like the first more, and I would only recommend playing thhis if you have nothing better to do.

Sorry for such a bad recommendation, but when I played this, I had high hopes and it ended up being kind of a disappointment. Mainly because I have a ton of games that I own that I want to beat and this ended up being a waste of my time.

But if for some reason you don't have any other game you can play, than this might end up being 50 solid hours of entertainment for you.

Actually, 65 is a very high level. I stopped in several places throughout the game intending to level up my characters, and even went through the entire Centurion Challenge (100 straight battles, only for those experienced in battle--took me from lvl45 right up to 74 in less than 24 hours). I'm sure the minority of players will be able to achieve this, let alone attain that kind of level before reaching the final boss, if at all.

And the whole final guy thing, I think I hit him with a miracle art for over 360000 hit points. That power cgarge thing made the game way too easy. The game had potential, but it was only mediocre.

Man, Legend of Legaia is very underrated :(

I liked the first but have gotten courage to buy the new one yet...i'm pretty much strapped for cash saving for Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and Xenosaga.

Hopefully now I will get it. Thanks for giving some great info on the new game Maestro...Didn't plan on playing it after hearing some bad reviews.

Well, I had a choice of either getting Legaia 2, Robotech : Batlecry or Kingdom Hearts. In the end, my natural curiosity for the sequel to Legaia won. (Note : I still intend to get Robotech : Battlecry, as I'm an avid Macross/Robotech fan.) I've only played a very small amount of it (Still in Nohl actually.), but from I've played, it looks impressive. The graphics, music and from what I've heard of the story, it looks good. Now, I've just got to make myself play it, in more detail, as it is, I'm still stuck in Breath of Fire IV and Lord of the Rings : The Two towers. Hmmm, think I'll take a break from them and concentrate on Legaia 2. I'll post again, once I've played more into it, and let you know what I think.

I just thought I'd point out that Legaia 2 seems much darker, and more mature than the original. Nothing of "FF quality", but it makes a point nonetheless. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Well, I've finally played a little more of the game (Just got pass the Cave of Trials.), and I have to admit, I like it. I've only played FFX and Shadow Hearts for the PS2, so my RP gameing is limited to them. Out of the three, I'd say Legaia 2 comes in second (I won't say which game is first or third, as I maybe lynched.). It is a more darker game than the first, which I have to admit, I'm a fan of dark games, particularly if there's a dark foreboding gothic atmoshpere. Legaia 2 doesn't have that (as far as I know.) but it still is a wrothwhile game to play. If you stuck in Australia, like I am, and you are an RPG fan, I recommend Legaia 2. Whilst the story isn't anything new, it's still a fun and enjoyable game.

I got this about a week and a half ago, so I'm still working on it... I really like the game so far though!:D

I need some help. I've just exited Mt.Gabel, and after some more exploring/level building/item purchasing, I make my way towards Daplin (SP?). Now, I've got the Emblem of Nobility, and I've made my way to the sewers and now.....I'm stuck. What do I need to do in the sewers? How do I get out of the sewers? Any help, would be appreciated.

The sewers stumped me quite a bit. Turned out I kept running past where I was supposed to go. There's no 'trick' to it, just make sure that when you lower the water level using the levers you'll come across, that you don't forget go down the stairs near the sewer entrance and head down.

I completely overlooked that somehow. x_X

Heheh... You know I did that just yesterday on the game actually... Walked right by it about 6 times before deciding to "explore." I think we all end up doing something this stupid all the time on games like this one.
